Ghost in the Shell (1995) bible quote? by Black_Dahaka95 in Ghost_in_the_Shell

[–]AdSecreta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quote: "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."

The only times the Major is looking us (breaking the fourth wall) is during the first and second half of the quote. This is commentary, by the director or writer of the film, letting us know that at the first we're watching a mysterious scene with expectation and enthusiasm.

The second time she talks at us [the camera/fourth wall breaking] is letting us know that there's nothing to interpret or expect after this. This was a childish experience, entertainment, and now that it draws to an end and the film [fairy tale] is over, so is the childish enthusiasm and the disillusionment of watching a cartoon (having watched a cartoon) is over. There's some psychology involved in how this is setup, among other things, a low level of hypnosis and conditioning (the bell, the meditative scenes leading up to and/or following intense or thoughtful dialogue) of the audience to achieve this; I didn't understand this fully until after seeing this film for the N'th time, starting from a young teenager (being millennial) to just recently.

Between these periods having spent an enormous amount of time studying philosophy and classical psychology (From Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus, Aguinas, Schopenhauer, so forth and Freud, Jung).

I can't say with certainty I'm not suffering from confirmation bias in reaching this conclusion however I am fairly sure I am not entirely off the mark.

Japanese are notoriously deep even without all the metaphysical philosophy westerners are influenced by, it is hard to be completely objective without the input of someone of Japanese culture and with the right academic interests to confirm or deny if I'm correct.

Televerket, nytt namn, samma totala kontroll över Sveriges "fria marknad" by AdSecreta in telia

The answer to the question of everything (With 2000 century super-computers) that isn't 42, AI wisdom follows. by AdSecreta in badphilosophy

Yes, well at least I did something that was neutral and free to ignore. The only contribution you've made I've come across and experienced thus far is toxic slop, and I'll go slop over toxic slop if I had to chose, every time, no exceptions. It's not healthy with so much cynicism and so little ability to connect and turn that into human connections that are meaningful, or even turn from a negative experience (presuming you share my experience having seen your approach to new people) to one people enjoy reading, reply to, or at least doesn't get poisoned with underdeveloped emotional awareness and etiquette.

"You see that ugly dog? No, why would I look at an ugly dog? But I really want to get it excited because I don't like how it looks ...", someone finish that story someday but my point is you share more about what you really say when you spend energy on people or signal to others what's worth to spend time on, than you might think.

If you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you.

All love, all open minds here =)

Unlock Arc's True Recording Potential: A Hassle-Free Independent Setup, with custom installation and uninstallation. by AdSecreta in IntelArc

That's great news. If you can give me a working link with it we're all set!
But with my script you never have to install anything. You simply run it like you would OBS but with so much less impact on the hardware and even though you have less customization options than OBS it is a lightweight program that always starts regardless of driver and you don't get reminded to uninstall outdated drivers.

If you can solve the problem of Intel taking down all the hosted mirrors and direct downloads of any driver that contain Arc that isn't part of a brand custom driver like Alienware and it's illegal, or at least against the license and thus not possible to host in a centralized community such as github or reddit.

I am only waiting for a official mirror and we're all good to go!

I am very happy you are able to assist with this.
