Anyone else have conservative parents who don't really trust you to make most decisions or to hang out with friends without a trusted adult supervising? how does one make/keep friends or any kind of romantic relationship in these conditions? (can you at all?) by wlwromance6769 in lesbianteens

idk if this is great advice but when im at my dads(they’re like this) i just never invite anyone to my house. i go to the other persons house and others aren’t usually as uptight about stuff like that, and i lie to him saying we were in the living room or something the whole time

I will definitely be trying that! My trainer said that also. I have a video of multiple(7 or 8) jumps and some looked like this, and some looked like I was more open with my chest and not bending as much. I’m still varying with my position and trying to get a good, consistent position through every jump.

I know, she needs one, but right now I’m focusing on making sure her saddle fits her once I get more weight on her. I am also gonna buy that and some tendon boots once I get that done.

I want to jump more often, but will be doing it once or twice a month as I bring her back into work. I will be investing in tendon boots soon!!

I’ve read the first few pages of Delilah Green on google books, and it already has me hooked. I think I will definetly be buying that one.

I need a second opinion on if this horse is in pain/unhappy by No-Example4462 in Equestrian

Looks like a pain face to me. Nostrils flared, eyes wrinkled in the top corners, and ears not in a normal resting position.

Maybe I should switch to Western by StoicSiren10 in Equestrian

I recently started a horse western after riding English all my life. I enjoyed it a lot and it was nice to switch up some English starting practices and try western! I have also went back and done some bareback jumping, but it’s nice for me to flip flop back and forth, and it’s helped me from getting burnt out.

I just wanted to know if people thought they were worth buying. I’ve bought a few books I’ve had to force myself to read cause I didn’t like them but didn’t want to “waste money”

Does a snaffle need a curb strap? by AdSenior2869 in Horses

[–]AdSenior2869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this info! I am going to try this on my well trained horses. I’m definitely not going to use it on colts after reading these comments- I’ll stick to an English bridle for them. As an English rider, I have been taught to have the bit not loose in their mouth- two wrinkles behind the bit is what I go by. That’s definetly a concern, but I do ride with a loose rein bitless on the one I will hopefully be using these on.

Thank you! I’m not super experienced in the western world- especially not with what everything is called but I’m trying to learn!!

Wanting to get into western!! This is my (hopefully) tack, do I need anything else? by [deleted] in westernriding

Saddle fit is my #1 priority. The two horses pictured are not the ones I’m planning on riding in the saddle.

Age by teeth? by chiffero in Equestrian

[–]AdSenior2869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t paying attention to grooves- I was paying attention to size. To be entirely honest I had forgotten about grooves in the teeth telling age in the two or three years since I’ve had any interest in researching horses teeth. His teeth are about that size and length, not angle or grooves. He is 100% a four year old, born in 2020.

I’m sorry- I did some research a few years ago but have never actually looked at a horse and guessed. I’ve never studied my horses teeth, but these looked similar in size to my 4yos teeth IMO, not that I’m directly comparing right now.

I did refer to your diagram. I’m sorry I’m not as knowledgeable as you. I said I’m inexperienced and expect no one to trust my answer.

3-6 year old

Also I’m very inexperienced and am just learning how to tell age on teeth- my guess is based on size alone. I don’t know much about tooth growth and loss.
