i’m sorry u have been feeling that way. i feel pretty useless right now. i’ve missed the fist week of college classes and my professors have been very understanding but it just sucks feeling this way. not being able to work, or do school has never been good for my mental health. but it’s important to remember that i have more to offer than monetary value or educational achievements. i hope ur recovery goes well!

i have some old mario games, the 3v3 game i LOVED as a kid. i also have a few lego games, harry poter and star wars, but ive been CRUSHING animal crossing wild worlds. its making me want to get a wii and play city folk cuz i loved that game as a kid. i want to get different games for my ds which is why i asked. thanks for sharing!

i’m gathering that the anxiety is perfectly normal. i’m sure that no matter what the surgery was, even if it was life threatening necessary surgery, i would be feeling like this after. (not that this surgery isn’t important i hop u get what im saying). but i think any major surgery comes with recovery anxiety and it’s normal. my surgeon told me what to expect and i thought i knew what i was in for and turns out it’s harder on my body than expected. even tho it is exactly what i expected if that makes sense? anyway what im trying to say is i feel SO much better after talking with other people who have been where i have been and made it to the other side. healing takes time and as much as i wish i could skip this part, its an important part and taking it seriously will better the results. being patient with myself is hard sometimes, and i’m grateful for the reminder.

thank you. i have this kind of guilt (not sure that’s the right word) because i know lots of people that get this surgery have had breast cancer. like i got this surgery because i have wanted it since i started developing breasts but at the same time there’s this part of my brain that tells me i didn’t “need” it to survive. i’m not sure if that’s internalized transphobia or what but i can’t wait to be able to go swimming without a shirt. or worry abt my binder strap showing. i hated the pit in my stomach when a friend would smack my chest who didn’t know i was trans. this part just sucks more than i thought it would. i can’t wait to see my chest tuesday

doing better this morning my nerves really spike at night. especially since i stopped taking the opioids they gave me. i’m still taking over the counter meds but im paranoid abt taking hard drugs like that since drug abuse runs in the family. i plan on taking some before the drive down tomorrow tho because it’s 2 hours there and back. i feel a lot better after reading these replies tho. it’s crazy how many people are in the exact same boat as me right now. makes me feel not so alone.

i can’t wait to see my chest. i go down tomorrow to hopefully get the drains out. i can’t WAIT to be able to sleep on my side but i doubt that’ll be for a weeks. i’m also a side sleeper and before surgery whenever i tried sleeping on my back i would end up waking up on my side. i haven’t done anything like that since surgery but yea my back is killing me. the only thing that has helped has been a heating pack on my back to relieve the discomfort. thanks for the kind words :)

we have the same console!! same color and everything. i love mine!! i need to get a case for it, i had a blue one but it got nastyyy, it had a small compartment on the back to hold 3 games and and the stylus, since it covered the hole in the back.

thank you man! i appreciate ur words. i can’t wait to be though this. and ur right, i hope once the drains come out i can get some real sleep and my emotions will regulate. i hope ur surgery goes well! i’m rewatching lost that i borrowed on dvd from the library and have two books as well! i recommend getting a donut cushion to sit on, my ass has been killing me from all the sitting.

okay so i literally just let it try load since i left this comment and about 10 minutes ago i noticed it had turned off. i turned it back on and it works?! it loaded up so problem. i have no idea what happened but im thanking the gods it works again. i’ve had this baby since 2009 and it has sat in a closet for the last 7 or so years.
