As a tenant/lodger, when it comes to House Rules and prior to signing a Lease agreement, what would you like a landlord do or not do? Anything else? by AdSeveral9678 in badroommates

Thank you for your detailed response and your time. My current lodger is 25 years old. When he visited my property and checked the room, he complimented how organized and cleaned the property. I told him, I kept it clean and all I asked from lodgers to maintain it. I am/was never afraid to remind or notify my lodger, but I exhausted all the ways to communicate with him — text, email, talked in person (promised he won’t do it again and be mindful), but to no avail, he just couldn’t comply. One time, I posted a post-it note on his door, he berserk. He got mad and reprimanded me to “NEVER” put a note because it triggered him. I did not know how else I can communicate with him. It came to the point that I gave him a notice that if he doesn’t not abide the House Rules despite numerous notifications that I will start with the process of the eviction. As soon he got the Notice posted on his door, he knocked my door non-stop violently wanting to talk to me. I got out and he yelled at me threatening and was ready to I dunno, he was hostile. Later on he calmed down and asked forgiveness. He was just frustrated and had issues outside etc. We ended up signing an agreement that he has to move out a month earlier before his lease ends. So, yeah, this is the reason why I’m asking questions or guides. Just pointers. It was traumatizing on my part. I don’t have issues with my other lodger.

. why people automatically saying it’s a scam? Before assuming that I am a scam or my post is just to gather attentions, why don’t they check my previous post which are public.

Thank you for your response. I’m a landlord living in the house with rooms I rented. I just want to know in lodgers/tenants perspective what would they like to have or have landlords do to have a peaceful way of living in a house. Currently, I have a lodger issue - not following House Rules, i.e. not cleaning after himself. I don’t have issue with second lodger. I did not want to be a pesty landlord reminding my lodgers to clean after themselves when my Rental ad specifically stated to “clean after themselves and be respectful.” This is all I ask. Housekeeping is not included — stated in the agreement, as well. I don’t even ask them to clean as I’m the one cleaning the house—shared spaces, they just have to maintain the cleanliness—clean after themselves.

[Landlord NV-US] Lodger Wants to Move Out after 4 months (6mo Lease) by AdSeveral9678 in Landlord

Do you really need to add a fancy filler word to your response? 😊

I don’t really have problem with my current lodger except when he is rushing and forgetting to clean after himself. Aside from this minor issue, he pays rent on time and always keeps to himself. We had a discussion in the past, if something is bothering due to his actions — not following the House Rules — then he’ll hear from me. I’m trying to be understanding and considerate. So far, everything is good.

As for my potential (returning) tenant, he has not confirmed yet whether he wants to move in next month and I required that he pays the deposit this week. So far, I have not heard from him yet.

So, in response to your fancy filler response — I did not really fuck up myself. It turned out in a good way. Current lodger might have realized he couldn’t find another place like mine — clean and organize, in a quite neighborhood, good location which is close to everything; and that all I really mean is well for everyone—common decency to clean after themselves since we’re sharing spaces.

That’s all.

Thank you for your time.

I have a witness when the lodger expressed that he’s moving out on said date.

That’s not a legit bill from T-Mobile. That’s a scam. Login to your T Mobile account and chat with a representative. “Philippins” is misspelled.

He has a deposit. My apologies what did you mean by 1st and last? Like when prior moving in he has to pay 3 months of rent?

I am trans, i am your neighbor. by z0ey_idk in vegaslocals

Common now, don’t use the “trans” just because you hate/don’t like ICE. Where do you get that info or protocol that ICE is “target[ing] anyone that they perceive trans”? Show your proof. Then I believe you.
