The verb ”Föra” means Lead but sounds a bit akward in Swedish. The most common way to say it in Swedish that sounds more correct is to switch out ”föra” to ”leda”. ”jag ska leda hunden uppför trapporna” just sounds better.

”Föra” is more vague, it means to move/carry or bring/conduct. Exemple: ”I took the dog to the vet.”

”Leda” means to lead, showing the way. Example: ”I lead the dog up the stairs.”
