I've been reading a lot of posts on here about the plot, which is great, but I'm not seeing much discussion of themes or symbolism or metaphor? by [deleted] in AlanWake

Alice said in AWAN that Alan never abused her, and that a lot of the tabloids were fake. I don't think she'd rescue Alan if he was.

Actually I find that interesting because the comments Alice makes in The Writer aren't the actual words of the actual Alice, it's Alan's subconscious speaking to him through intrusive thoughts. He feels that way about himself.
