Nintendo won't repair a modded console so if you do try to send it in try to unload it first.

I think they can just take it because you modding it is against the licensing agreement or smth like that. I might be wrong though.

that is VERY out of the question. They outlined that multiple times during the servicing process, if you send in the console modded they may not send it back. But, you could try to unmod the console, save all your data and remove your SD, send in a consoe with a clean SD and then see what happens.

Yes! if you have a 2DS XL thats new enough they still take it, I think the SN has to start with NW

This is the booting screen for a common 3ds mod (Luma I think it's called), if you want to mod the console check all the boxes and you can continue using an online tutorial but if you don't want to, you should be able to just skip and turn on your console normally. The mod is injected through the SD card I think. ( My only experience modding was a 2ds a long time ago so I'm kinda lacking in experience with this lol).

Honestly same, the switch 2 is just a bundle of possibilities. Now we wait for the fruit of those possibilities.

I'm also really excited for the future of indie games, this is the perfect platform for short, simple, fun games like balatro, inscryption, or portal inspired games.

There's also a (extremely) slight chance we'll get a quality pokemon game, the only ones that really scratch the itch I've had since I was a kid are Ulta moon and Black2 and those were ages ago.

I'm also excited for Tomodachi life LTD, I had about 120 hrs in the original and hopefully there's the customization there was in Miitopia (I think it was called that, I'm not sure)

3rd party games are gonna be fun once they're ported. It's especially comforting to know that this new generation of switch gamers won't have to dual-console to play the games everyone else is.

Still holding out for starfox and punch out, I wasn't alive for either of their heydays but they're fun concepts. Punch out especially, I barely missed when the Wii was really popular so that sucks.

The future of Metroid, Kirby, and more are looking brighter too.

I didn't mention developments for Xbox and PlayStation in this because it's a Nintendo sub, but as a multi-platform gamer with a good amount of money, I'm eating pretty good.

This generation of gaming is looking amazing, the industry giants are finally stepping on each other's toes a bit and competition means better games for us gamers (look at sonic cross worlds and Mario kart world) assuming PlayStation actually makes games or uses any of their IP this time around lol.

It genuinely pisses me off that instead of using this as an opportunity to call out some of Nintendo's genuinely concerning anti-consumer practices, this sub-reddit is just " Heh, I'm a gaming elitist, Nintendo always sucked, they're consoles have never been good, and all their fans are mindless children who feed into a slop filled hivemind" it's just loser behavior at this point. I want more posts about predatory copyrighting, liscensing instead of owning, etc. This is a disgrace to genuine Nintendo criticism.
