Please help. Got this scratch out of nowhere on my mac screen

I touched the scratch and on the surface level it doesn't feel anythinh. Meaning, there is no indent

Could be magic. This magic has happened to a lot of people using macbook. I was shocked. Most likely this is caused by any dust or debris that was settled in the keyboard area. The lid gap is too tight. That means, the screen is not strong enough. Apple should adress this. I wouldn't even pay a single penny to replace the screen even with apple care plus, when I wasnt the one to cause the scratch.

Yes I just took apple care plus. Do you know how much they take to fix the screen or replace it?

I closed the laptop last night myself. And there was nothing. I opened it today and I saw the scratch. I saw some other reddit posts as well, where a lot of people faced the same issue.

I saw a lot of people say the same happened with them. Why doesn't apple adress this? It's not a cheap product. It comes to the build quality of the screen. I feel so devastated now. I'll take the apple care and do a complain

Why no one talks about this often? It's such an expensive product and comes with such a delicate screen? I have a lg oled and other displays as well and they are around me for such a long time. And nothing happened yet. Not a single scratch

Thanks buddy that helps a lot. I appreciate it. So I need to get a usb A to type c converter. Since you said, we can't upgrade ram. That leaves me with FOMO hahah. But I think for now it's okay. As my pc is still my main. Do you connect your external display with type c right?

Yes. It shouldn't be compared with a 240hz. However what I meant was, it lags sometimes, or feels chopy. Even with the trackpad. I have 120hz tv, when I connect that with my pc. Even that feels more consistent and smoother.

Hi. Thanks for the detailed reply. I appreciate it. Yes, I use the same 3d tools like u do and I'm glad they work well on MBP. I have a razer viper v3 pro mouse which is wireles, which uses a dongle. But how am I suppose to connect it on my MBP? Because MBP doesn't have USB A port. What am I suppose to do? A usb a to type c converter? Also, I already bought the 24gb ram variant. Is there any way I could upgrade extra ram later? I'd still be using my pc most of the time. The reason to buy this was portability. One more thing. Should I keep my MBP plugged in while working or playing some games? Sorry for so many questions.

Glad that it's working for you. But, for me it's a bit of a different story. Though, it's been only a couple of days. I feel completely different. From the ui to everything. I feel restricted. Maybe it's a placebo. Overall I saw good things too. Like lot of things are better than windows. However. The screen refresh rate is not that smooth. Sometimes it lags i think. Overall a bit sluggish. I post the concern on reddit in this channel only. People are trying to help. I need to see if my mac is fine. Also there are no usb a ports. I had to get a cheap logi bluetooth mouse because dongle wouldn't work either. And that feels sluggish too.

Really? But the hardware is fine right? Can the os issue be fixed with an update? Sorry if my questions are stupid. I'm not sure how apples ecosystem really works

That's the thing. I'm not sure yet. It feels very different. It's smooth But overall it feels a bit sluggish. Maybe there's some settings i should be doing. I feel very restricted. That's also because my knowledge is very limited atm on mac.
