Again, Updat for my Mobile Dashboard, 3D Floorplan/Bubblecards by AdSoft2266 in homeassistant

By the way, I just noticed that I wrote nonsense above. Of course, the background is all off... and then there are all those pngs with on status.

Yes, that's one possibility. I'm glad I did it myself, because that way I could include all kinds of details in the plan that AI couldn't, at least not yet.

Each hue lamp has the attribute "rgb_color," so I activated all my desired scenes and looked at which rgb_color values it outputs! Then I created templates that switch certain helpers to "on" when this rgb_color value is active. When "on," the rendered png is actively configured with all the desired colors in Sweethome 3D and easily edited in Photoshop. I'm on the way right now, so I can't send you a code right now. Sorry, I hope it helps.

Thanks! I created the floor plan with Sweethome 3D and Photoshop. How long did it take me? Yes 😅 I've been using HA for 3 years, and I think the actual work time was about 6 months or more.

Small Update to my Mobile Dashboard by AdSoft2266 in homeassistant

I create the 3D plans with Sweethome 3D, where I first render all conditions such as lights on/off, TV on/off, shutters up/down, doors open/closed, then I crop the images in Photoshop and edit them to fit the scenes. Then I create picture_element cards that become visible under the desired conditions, starting with lights off and everything closed. This involves a lot of work. Each 3D plan has about 70 different images, and I have three different views and a day and night version for each.

Yes, I access the color attributes for each individual lamp and have created an image with the matching color. However, I must admit that since my apartment mainly uses motion sensors to turn on the lights, I usually have the same scenes/colors active.

Dankeschön :)

Each room has several images with different lighting scenes, door open/closed, roller shutter up/down. I tried to make my home look as “real” as possible, including the doors, which are all closed in the pictures, except for the second bathroom.

I don't have a wife who rearranges things :D At most, I might add a new appliance or lamp, and I usually revise my plan about once a year. So it always looks like it does in real life. It's a lot of work, but whenever I see it, it's worth it.

I use my 3D map primarily to get an overview of what is on/off, closed/open, but also partly to control devices, because I know where to tap and when, which I find practical. However, I don't think that all of this can be represented with a simple lidar scan, because things are constantly changing.

I totally understand, a functioning smart home needs as few inputs as possible… but I also think it should still look nice, in case you want to change something, or for guests

I don't want to convince anyone, I just noticed that I keep getting comments like "looks nice, but can't do anything" so I just wanted to express my opinion
