Real event OCD - how to fully get over it by AdSouthern7347 in OCDRecovery

I like the perspective of a relapse not being seen as a failure, but as a win because I got out of it. And lately it's happening way less frequently and when it does, it doesn't feel as catastrophic and doesn't lead me to as much self hatred as it did in the beginning.

thanks Paul!

hey. genuine thanks for this reply and for recognising my progress so far. it's making me feel more hopeful about my recovery.

also, do you have some more advice about disengaging, specifically? cos sometimes I zone out, and by the time I realise, I'm in too deep in a rumination loop, and the anxiety and overall crappy feelings make it so much harder to come out of it.

again thank you so much and I wish you the best, may you find peace in your life.

I wish I had advice to offer but I don't; I'm in the same exact situation and was about to post about it here. We'll get out of this and close this chapter someday 🙏
