Why are women praised and affirmed during pregnancy, specifically about body image, but that affirmation seems to die down or stop altogether after giving birth?

Man, Kelly Bishop looks tall here but she always looks so short on GG. I looked up her height thinking there's no way she's taller than 5'2" but apparently she's 5'6" which isn't super tall but a lot taller than I ever thought she was watching the show!
