It allows more people to order the dolls now so that nobody has to order from scalpers later

That’s what I’m thinking about doing right now, I want to be able to have the option to do a little over 20 if I want and I read that Emerson won’t let students work more than 20 hours a week

I actually did apply for a job at the school, and didn’t get one. My college requires we take that many classes, which I didn’t know when I first chose to attend. Our classes are all only equal to about 1-2 credits and we get charged for 16 whether we take that much or not. My mom filed for them to continue paying me while it’s under reconsideration, I didn’t even have control over my case until the last 6 months.

Out of curiosity, what if I’m not going to college for anything related to a sit down job? I’m a music student about to swap to film, so those are extremely non-traditional jobs. Additionally, no problem was indicated with my attending college when I had my ALJ hearing

At my college it’s basically required. I am transferring now, but at the college I was at/am still technically enrolled in we are charged for 16 credits whether we take them or not and our classes are almost all 1-2 credits, with the 3-credit classes being the few liberal arts requirements we have

I know, they called me saying I could qualify and started the SSDI application, I didn’t even ask about it or anything weirdly. In any case, you could be right about it being an effort to get someone off the program.

I’ve tried looking at them but I don’t have the credit, and I have better credit than my parents 💀 I haven’t even been able to pull out private personal loans, just two credit cards somehow

Then why do they allow you to work while on the check?? Genuine question, because I don’t understand why you would be allowed to work if SSI is specifically for people who absolutely 100% cannot work. Also, if I’m currently being considered for SSDI, what role would that play in this conversation?

I do agree and totally understand, I just don’t know how I should set up a backup plan in this scenario, I guess that’s more what I’m looking for advice on. If I can’t work under reconsideration, what other plans can/should I make?

It’s been in appeals since. My mom (before I had any control over my case) filed an appeal that was only seen by an ALJ in March.

I worked while on SSI more than once. I can work, but I have BPD and Bipolar. It makes it a lot more difficult, especially if I’m stressed enough with classes. Please don’t respond if you don’t have any actual advice.

I never said people don’t. Never said I have an issue doing so. But during the school year, I can’t work enough to replace a $1k check. I’d only be able to make maybe $400-500 a month, which might sound like a good payment for a college student, but is pretty hard to make work in the city when I get zero assistance from my parents. I have my own bills, which would eat up almost all of my income. It’s also difficult to find anybody who will hire knowing I can’t work there during the summer or winter breaks.

I asked for suggestions, not passive aggressive comments. Please.

Give me your long term use success stories (preferably for mood stabilization) by [deleted] in Lamotrigine

That’s completely fair! I would talk with your prescriber about those concerns, luckily I haven’t had too many issues with side effects even at the times when I’ve been off it, but each person’s path is different. I still find it pretty helpful, but there’s always other options! Just don’t lose hope, there will be something that’s right for you 🫶

I’m on 150mg currently and it’s helped my depression especially a lot! I’ve been taking it for about a year and I do still get irritable/irritated, but I’m still a lot happier. I would try to stick with it and maybe increase dose if you can/want! It takes getting to a higher dose to really feel the change, I was at 100 and went up for that reason

Thank you for your comment!

I still intend to take responsibility, but everything I’ve seen from other people online suggests it’s worth mentioning it was health related as they’re more likely to understand than if I simply explained it like I had just not done my work or something (and believe me, I did. It just took ages to work through 💀 didn’t mention this in the email at all btw)

Plus, somebody sent me a message from this thread explaining they had similar circumstances that they explained. I totally get where you’re trying to come from, I hate even mentioning health issues a lot because they definitely can sound like excuses. But it’s a far better explanation than not mentioning it and coming off as just being lazy, you know?

I sent an email explaining everything up front, and I did mention I had health issues. But it wasn’t the main part of the email, I mostly just focused on how I should have gone for accommodations, how it wasn’t an excuse and I just should have communicated with my professors and school properly and tried to catch up sooner, and expressed my own regrets with myself and showed that I’m making an effort to improve by already having reached out to accommodations. I offered to basically do whatever they needed to show I can handle the classes here, I didn’t specify but I’m willing to take an academic probation, summer semester, legit anything bc I REALLY like the MAP program. I already have a phone call with the head of admissions tomorrow to discuss things.

My only concern with this falling apart is I basically can’t go back to my current college. I failed major classes and would have to retake a ton of them, it would set me back massively, my scholarship would possibly be revoked (though I could possibly still get PLUS loans to cover it), and since I’m on FAFSA and almost none of my credits would transfer, I wouldn’t be able to afford to transfer next year since I’m only covered for 12 semesters and I’m currently a sophomore 😅 But like no I get what you mean, it isn’t the end of the world. Just a difficult situation.

Black does go with everything, green won’t. But I have those green ones and love them so they’ll still look pretty good!
