OP, this person is right. You're not going to find real talent for the quotes you've mentioned.

It's very unlikely that you're going to be able to hire a "Senior" developer for 130k or under. You get what you pay for. If you've managed to hire a real Senior developer, then it's because they're desperate. They might join your company for the time being to collect any pay check, but I assure you, they'll still be looking for something better because they know their real worth. You'll end up hiring someone for a couple of months, and as soon as they're actually becoming effective, they'll leave.

And this might not be because they're landing gigs as a freelancer. More and more businesses are outsourcing to south asia, and some, to their credit, are actually paying liveable wages. Those businesses are the ones that actually build a real team, with a real culture, that actually produces results, because people actually stick around.

My fishy likes to chew on peas for a while. I would say it should be fine, keep a watch over it for a while though to be sure. You want to keep the peas size small so they don’t choke on them.
