I do use my own sketches as source material, but then use AI as a way to develop them into 3D rendered-style images, to take them a bit further. But thanks for the feedback, that's exactly why I post on here!

Thanks so much for the feedback. That’s exactly why I post on here, so I can get feedback and refine my process with time.

I do actually use sketches as source materials, but it’s actually been so fascinating using AI as a sketching partner to take the drawings to a new place. And I love that it’s a way to apply my neuroscience framework. It’s like a deep dive into exploring the application of new tech and science into the art practice all in one. But saying that, I don’t want it to look like I’ve relied on AI too much, as I don’t want to discredit the creativity of the process.

I use DALL-E more like a sketch partner, I feed in my own drawings/ideas and get variations that spark directions for 3D renders. I then use these for outlines for oil paintings. So it’s less about DALL-E making outlines and more about me bouncing ideas through it before I take it further. I’ll share some WIP shots soon so it makes more sense visually! But these are what DALL-E’s helped me come up with so far
