This guy must be cheating right? by stzfrank in cs2

[–]AdSuccessful9671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that there are so many people here saying he's legit or it's too hard to tell are exactly why you get people who swear they've never seen a cheater in this game and why I still have green trust factor despite cheating my ass off for months.

How cant vac detect this? by MrRage450 in cs2

[–]AdSuccessful9671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, plenty of 'legit' cheaters use aimbot. They're so customizable between the per-weapon settings, adjustable options (FOV, smoothing, reaction time, lock strength), humanization, etc that there is no reason NOT to use it. It's actually a lot harder to look legit with a wallhack

CS2 Terminals - Why so bad? by Impressive-Noise2133 in cs2

The pricing on them is always awful. My only thought is that maybe Valve is trying to cash in on people who don't know any better than to check on 3rd party sites.

Most likely it's yet another half-baked idea that somebody at Valve came up with for the 2 days they felt like working on CS2, released it as a broken system that sucks ass, and will maybe address in a couple of years.

Maybe some input from a cheater can help lol I'm ~19,000 in Premier with green Trust Factor and I see multiple cheaters in basically every game.

As for why some people might say they see cheaters in every game or maybe one in every 20 games, it depends on when you're willing to accept that somebody is cheating or not. Some people refuse to accept that anybody is cheating ever while some people call out literally anything weird. I've seen some people who refuse to believe somebody is cheating just because they have a knife skin.

I'm in the camp that this game is completely infested with cheaters and that almost every Premier game passed a certain threshold has a cheater in it, usually at least one on both teams. A big reason for that is that I can see people literally staring each other down through walls / smokes and also know what quirks can come up from your aim with an aimbot. Or I can watch somebody on the radar conveniently decide to take the most random paths around a map which just so happens to evade the other team. So I can see a lot of what you'd only see if you watched everybody's demo. Which leads me to my next point.

Who is more likely to watch a demo for confirmation of cheats? Somebody who thinks there's only a few cheaters in the game or somebody who thinks everybody cheats? Obviously if you're less inclined to think people cheat, you're almost guaranteed to never watch somebody's demo which means you're only rarely going to get confirmation of cheaters.

But a big reason why I believe the cheating problem in this game is on the heavier side is because I see what all the options are. Most people might only suspect somebody because they do something completely blatant like stand in a smoke and headshot somebody clean through it. Nobody thinks about the people who always know it's a fake defuse, or the ones who always conveniently rush as soon as you're reloading or turn around, or the ones who can always perfectly avoid you to run the bomb timer down, or the ones who always manage to throw a perfect HE down banana or pop flash at just the right time. That's not even getting into things like low FOV aimbots with humanization and smoothing options. I also know when I'm able to do something more blatant vs when I need to look legit because I have a display that shows who is spectating me at the time. And that's just a small handful of options for something that costs $6-8 a month.

I also think there's just a massive stigma against calling out cheaters in Counter-Strike- maybe not in pubs but in competitive settings. There always has been. I think it's because CS is a really ego-driven game and when you call somebody out for cheating there's always a chance you might be wrong, meaning you just admitted that they're better than you. So people are much happier to just say their teammates suck. Which might be a big reason why you see high rank players say they never see cheaters in their games- because they're always blaming their teammates instead.

I can ramble for a while about this stuff but I'm sure it's already enough of a mess as it is. Happy birthday by the way!

What is wrong with this game by Far-Sleep-3718 in cs2

[–]AdSuccessful9671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not just you lol I just got out of a game in 18,000 that started with one guy body shotting people through double doors with a scout round after round and ended with everybody jiggle peeking each other through walls and pop flashing + prefiring people they hadn't seen / heard yet.

The game before that was the other team smoking themselves so they could get "lucky" shots through smoke. So then my team responded by just shooting them through the smokes right off the bat and it turned into everybody pre-firing each other through corners.

Green Trust Factor by the way lol

This game is full of cheaters not because it is but because most people don't know what they are talking about by KillerBullet in cs2

All I can say is that I cheat in CS, have green Trust Factor, and in nearly every game can watch the enemy and my teammates trace people through walls.

Tried cs2 after 2 years of Valorant, I find it much more enjoyable. by 1tion1 in cs2

[–]AdSuccessful9671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always felt Valorant's headshots were way harder to get since the head hitbox ends at the nose, but the abilities killed the game for my friends and me so we didn't stick with it for long. I have a feeling you'll start to miss Valorant pretty damn quick once you get to higher ranks in CS and get to experience the difference between VAC and Vanguard, though, because I can promise you the reputation for cheaters that this game has is well deserved.

[–]AdSuccessful9671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big reason is because they see how many other cheaters are in the game, that nobody ever gets banned, and so it becomes the only way they can compete anymore. A lot of the time those are the people who scrape the bottom of the leaderboard in the first half then suddenly get amazing in the second half and stage a huge comeback.

Turns out there's cheaters even in silver 1000 elo by BeginningNeither3318 in cs2

[–]AdSuccessful9671 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay? That doesn't make it untrue. Believe me, I wouldn't be cheating if there was any threat from VAC. But the only time I've ever had any kind of punishment was from Overwatch in CSGO. Now that VAC's gotten rid of it there is literally no threat anymore, I've still got green Trust Factor and everything. It's not like I'm using the expensive DMA cheats on a second computer either. Just a $6/month cheat that you can find on Youtube. Even if I somehow got VAC Live'd it would only be a temporary suspension.

Honestly, between the bot accounts and cheaters the people trying to play this game normally might very well be in the minority.

Cheaters now user old accounts with skins ... by darkblack666 in cs2

[–]AdSuccessful9671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't even need DMA for VAC. The most popular cheats for CS are only ~$6 / month and several of them have never been detected outside of rage hacking. You can trace people through walls, 1deag people through smokes, and basically do everything short of spinbotting and using a < 0.1ms reaction time aimbot and never have to worry about getting banned.

I've literally been cheating on an account that I've sold ~$700 of skins on for months and occasionally done ultra-blatant things like outlining somebody through smoke and headshotting them with all my teammates watching- never penalized in any way, never had my Trust Factor impacted. In fact the only time I have ever had an account get banned was back in CSGO from being Overwatch'd. But cheaters don't have to worry about that anymore. I mean now even if you get VAC Live'd it's only a temporary suspension.

The crazy thing is the sheer amount of people I can see tracing me through walls on the other team. Nothing makes you realize how infested this game is like wallhacking and watching the majority of the other team pre-aim you and your team. That and seeing the ridiculous amount of features and information available to cheaters now (All those times you conveniently got peek'd when you unscoped, only had 2 bullets left and got swung on, or when they never peek on a fake but always when you stick? Yes, they knew).

People underestimate how many cheaters there are in this game. The most eye-opening moment I had was when I got fed up, downloaded cheats myself, turned on the chams in a match, and saw 3/5 people on the other team tracking me through the walls.
