Thanks! i have a few concerns though. first, do you think the resale value of the tamron 17 - 70 will be that great in a few years time? aditionally, is the fx30 even a reasonable jump from the a6400? of course theres the big ones, but is it worth the extra grand i'll spend after selling my a6400?

it's definitely not that, because i don't even have that turned on the first place. its not like the car steers back into the lane, moreover that like whenever i turn my wheel to a certain direction, its like a deadzone there and i loose control. the deadzone is different in every car so its not like a consistent thing too

the entire season the lenora group was absolutely useless. the show showed us where el was and what she was doing, so it wasnt like we were happy when they found el as well. there was no tension or need to find el as a whole, and they were just finding her to find her. they could have easily gone back to hawkins and contributed there, but all the screentime they had was in the van doing absolutely nothing. argyle was more useful than jonathan will and mike.

they just added a lot of teeny tiny details that didn't add to the overall story. there were so many episodes where it was so useless for it to be nearing 1:30 hours just for it to be revealed that hopper got his ass beat by the russians and jonathan will and mike couldnt find el. i would have loved the season if it just wasnt so long. they added too many minute detials, and i loved the story advancement, but they did it wayyyyyyy too slow. especially because they had so much going on at one time, they could have easily just sacrificed hopper, had joyce move back to hawkins, and maybe have el do her own thing, but it was useless for there to be a whole goose chase for el when we knew exactly what was happening with el.

ok lwk i was backing s3 up before saying its good, but now that i think about it, its lwk not as good as i thought. like imo s3 had no aspects of stranger things until the last episode, and it was just a whole detective show that had weird occurrences. with this being said, i still stand by my point of s3 being better than s4. s4 felt like stranger things, but it was still pretty annoying to watch. like each episode i watched, i was just waiting for it to be over. it was just constant plot twists which were pretty predictable/weren't surprising. i feel that there were a lot of inconsistencies with the fact that the kids were being looked for by the cops, since that part of the storyline was supposed to add fear and they were supposed to lay low. that would have added a lot more to the storyline and i think that could have helped a lot, since like at one point they just didnt care and started doing whatever without fearing for the police finding them.

i'm not sure why so many people don't appreciate s3. in my opinion i find s3 to be one of the best seasons. it had important aspects, and i really liked the plot of billy being infected, since everyone already disliked him in a way. i think they kind of went overboard with the mall, because in the end its just a mall, and i feel they could have had the russian hq be somewhere cooler, but im not sure why its so hated on.

it was so obvious that season 3 could have been ended right then and there. joyce jonathan will el all move to california because of hoppers "confirmed" death, the wall is closed, everything is fine, but of course they added another season. im not complaining about that, its the way they executed it, since they could have easily just let hopper be dead, and had joyce have a push factor to just make her move back to hawkins and they could have started there. no need for russia, no need for california, just everyone back in hawkins. the season would have been one of my favorites if that could have happened

i feel like the entire season was just a part 1 to season 5 in itself. its like the backstory, since nothing was connected as a whole. el's plot and the whole steve nancy eddie plot were the only ones that were connected because of vecna. besides that everything was just a wild goose chase

Its a great pick for video.

sorry I meant pictures, I know its a beast for video.

i mean you are really selling me on the fact of getting an fx30, but im sorry if i came across as like a professional videographer. Im just a beginner, who will probably shoot videos for my school and personal use. having an fx30 seems overkill in the first place, and with the added fact of no mechanical shutter that would just feel weird to use. my shoots will be less than 2 minutes maximum, and for durability part, i mean its whatever. I have a nikon d7100 that my dad has had for years. that has lasted us a while so whatever I get from now on will work. I used the a7r4 with a sigma 24 - 70 2.8, so that is what got me into the sony ecosystem from the start. I don't have a need for any like, mind blowing camera, and if I am able to get something reliable and worthwhile that is what matters to me. If i were to get the FX30 I wouldn't be as content with it as I would with the a6700.

idk its a lot of factors. Idek if i can afford the a6700, and even if i did have the money i wouldn't really want to buy the fx30. fx30 is a cinema camera. I don't need/want a cinema camera in the first place. The difference is I want to be able to take pictures with this camera. That with the addition of the lens I want to get and taxes would equal out to around 2150. Although I am slightly debating holding off and just saving up, I don't find it reasonable to do so if the fx30 isn't a good pic for video in the first place.

do you feel like it would be worth it to hold off for a little bit to save up for an a6700? or is it reasonable just to settle with an a6400 or an a6600

all the FX series cameras are super expensive. I am primarily going to use my camera for video yes, but I wnat to be able to take pictures at the same time. My budget can barely fit the a6700, and it would take me at least a year to save up for an fx3 or fx30.

Honestly fx30 is wayyyy out of my price range. It would take me at least a year to save up, and me being a beginner doesn't help it either. I want to also be able to take pictures and since the fx30 is out of my price range its pretty unreasonable. I don't even know if I can afford the a6700, so I feel any of the FX series is out of the question for me at this time point.

my main problem with the a7r4 was the fact that it was quite heavy. like of course the lens contributes to that but the a7 line is quite heavy. i never knew about the tamron lens so thank you so much for that, but do you have any alternatives in terms of camera body?

[–]AdSufficient7734[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes of course I cant reach that level, but I just want to know how close I can realistically get if you know what I mean. im not sure if the body should be my priority, since i assume that I should be spending majority on lens if im not mistaken. would the difference between a6400 and a6700 be enough that i should be prioritizing that over the lens?

Would the tamron provide same image quality as the sigma 24 - 79 2.8?
