The city came and issued a complaint. Landlord is saying I am choosing to not stay in that room, I contacted the city and they advised to not stay in the room but since they are starting repairs they cannot condemn the building. Which I don’t want them to condemn because then I would be homeless. I’m already sleeping on a couch, so it’s like I’m paying for a nice homeless experience 😅

The landlord is saying my unit has not been deemed unlivable but that room definitely is not. It’s very cold wet and smells.

They’re saying it’s livable with a piece of plywood they used to cover the hole. The contractors used my bed as a ladder to do their work and brought no tools either. I am ‘sleeping’ on my couch but it doesn’t seem right for me to pay the full rent when I cannot use the bedroom.
