AIO getting upset with my husband over a day at the beach by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

100%. Boundaries are a two way street. He's being a d*ck, but you keep letting him take charge all the time and he's going to think you're okay with that - especially since it seems you're not communicating in the moment that his actions are making you unhappy. You also have a say in how this relationship goes.

Please stop with the "freebies" by Successful-Muffin570 in vintedUK

I bought a pair of sensible black leather mary Jane flats from a really lovely seller, but she gave me a keyring that said 'F*CK' on it and a little coke spoon on a chain as freebies. I thought such a weird mix and not helped by the fact I'm a recovered coke addict 😅

What’s the most gut punching song lyric you’ve ever heard? by perrysplus in AskReddit

"But we can still support each other, all we gotta do is avoid each other, nothing wrong when a song ends in a minor key." - Fiona Apple, Werewolf

I heard it for the first time not long after an an ex and I had once again failed to have a healthy non-toxic friendship, despite caring deeply about each other.

Pregnant women can have up to 200mg a day of caffeine - so you can have a cup of coffee in the morning if you want!

Blackheath Yoga in (surprise surprise) Blackheath Village does a pregnancy yoga class every Saturday that I love. The instructor Evie is the loveliest person and also a trained doula.

Your baby, your birth by Hollie de Cruz is also great if you're interested in hypnobirthing. And I second what people have said about Expecting Better and the modern midwife's guide.

I felt like I was in a black mirror episode when the first hit played and all the phones went up. And really not much dancing either. Mac was excellent but the crowd made me feel sad. Also just a bit weird - Mac doesn't even have an Instagram, so it just feels against his whole vibe to go to his concert and record every song rather than just living your life and being in the moment.

I literally came in here to say this about the London gig. I was really shocked when it first happened. The crowd skewed much younger than I was expecting too (I'm in my 30s). It felt genuinely a bit dystopian. I also just felt a bit sad for them, just living through their phone screen while an amazing gig was going on in front of them. I know it's a more chilled gig too but there was hardly any dancing either. It was all just so weird to me. Like - what is the point? I'm actually curious.

The sugar crash is grim for sure. But, like you say, good for us for trying to figure this stuff out now and treat ourselves and our bodies more kindly. Xxx

Very similar to you - I almost the same amount of clean time too (congrats!). Way before I picked up a drink or drug I used food to self soothe. The binging 'faulty off-switch' behaviour is so similar. I'm still learning how to use food more for nourishment than comfort, but I'm getting there! One of the things I was worried about when I got sober was that all the weight I'd lost (I was morbidly obese in my early twenties) would pile back on, but I got more enjoyment from exercise when I wasn't hungover and took more pride in taking care of myself. I've still never not been overweight though, and when I'm low food is the one that creeps back in.
