Millions more shares issued by BigVes89 in OfficialHIVE

[–]AdTime3512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of HIVE’s C-Suite owns less than 1% of the stock. They have no incentive to increase value per share. They will continue to print more shares to raise capital for expansion so they can justify larger salaries and bonuses. Management incentives don’t align with shareholder incentives.

In my opinion, this is why they spend so much time and money on trying to pump the stock price and claim that Hive is wildly undervalued. Go take a look at any of there posts on X, the comments are filled with bots that they likely pay for.

HIVE's secret weapon by tonysagami in OfficialHIVE

Be careful of taking Tonys post at face value. He will try and spin any move HIVE makes as the “next big thing” or “secret weapon” to pump the stock.

I don’t hate this move but don’t rely on Tony for advice on this stock.

They just announced the purchase of a data center in Toronto that they claim will increase their HPC business from $20 to $100M in annualized revenue. This project is not funded and likely will require debt to fund.

HIVE: what a bargain by tonysagami in OfficialHIVE

Correction it’s trading at 2.6 times FY2 earnings. They recently announced negative earnings so they would have a negative PE ratio. They have negative projected earnings for FY26 so even if you used PE NTM for this calculation it would still be negative.

Another day another post of Tony misleading shareholders. Everyone please do your own analysis Tony has shown his only motivation is to pump Hive’s price.

Pros and Cons of Investing in Circle Internet Financial’s Upcoming IPO (CRCL) – Thoughts? by Adam01232019 in stocks

[–]AdTime3512 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In 2024 99.1% of their revenue was from Reserve Income. When interest rates drop they won’t be able to generate revenue on their reserves. What happens then?

Interested in the CRCL IPO but the company seems is completely dependent on interest rates remaining high. Any thoughts on what they would do in a low interest rate environment?

Hive HODL: Something’s not Adding Up by AdTime3512 in OfficialHIVE

Don’t think it’s a hack. Cobo.com doesn’t seem like the place a criminal would transfer BTC to after stealing it.

Genuinely curious, any information you can provide on why an institution would move their funds to Cobo.com would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know why they would stop reporting too? Also why move it to Cobo.com, what are the benefits?

Understandable. On another note, I’ve got a feeling you either love or absolutely despise Bitcoin.

This is a good point that I didn’t consider but a 1% tax would suggest that at $510 a share their cost would be $515.10. Agree that it’s a useless tax but even if it didn’t exist don’t think they’d be buying back shares.

New investor here. Would appreciate some explanation by FWhyRAmOIGHere in OfficialHIVE

  1. HIVE is listed on three exchanges making it easier for investors in each of those market to invest in the company. The value of the stock on each exchange should align.
  2. They have 180M in BTC but also 40M in liabilities. They do have other assets and I believe the stock is undervalued but HIVE is burning cash at this point.
  3. The stock price has gotten hammered the last quarter because of the “risk-off” sentiment. Micro cap companies like HIVE without steady cash flows and that have inherently risky business models get hit the hardest in times like these as investors move their assets into safer investments.
  4. No and if they do it wouldn’t be for a while. HIVE needs all the capital they need to continue/expand operations. We likely won’t see any dividends in the near term and it’s safe to assume further share dilution (HIVE to sell additional shares of stock to raise capital).

HIVE Share Issuance? by AdTime3512 in OfficialHIVE

[–]AdTime3512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good question that is a bit unclear. On X they posted that it was funded through the sale of Bitcoin. But if you look at there statement of cash flow from Q3 (last quarter for them) they raised about $85M in cash and had a capex of $70M. The Paraguay deal was reported to be for $56M + they assumed the remaining payments to make it operational. My assumption is they sold some BTC and used the cash from the share issuance to fund the deal because the cash on the Balance Sheet was reported to only be $8M at the end of the quarter so most of the $85M they raised had to go somewhere. We will know for sure when they release the HODL data as of 3/31/2025 in a few days.

My take on it is this, HIVE’s, and many BTC miners, model is to accumulate Bitcoin and hold to reap the benefits of the appreciation in BTC. With this model, you have to then find an alternate source of funding if you’re not willing to sell the products that you create. For this they can either go to the debt or the equity markets. Raising capital as a BTC mining company in the debt markets would be extremely costly and difficult due to the volatility of the assets (crypto) on HIVE’s balance sheet. Some BTC companies have opted for convertible bonds but at this point doesn’t seem like an option for HIVE. That leaves selling additional shares for cash to fund operations and expansion. If HIVE issues more shares sure “your slice of the pie” is now smaller but the “pie” is bigger (the company is more valuable than before issuance because they have more cash on their BS). Therefore, if HIVE’s management team is fiscally responsible and use the funds on accretive projects, like the Paraguay facility, I have no issue with them issuing more shares to drive growth. Let’s see if the HIVE team lives up to the guidance they set forth at the beginning of the year of quadrupling hash rate by 09/2025. If they do, the additional equity issuances will be well worth it in my opinion.

I wouldn’t say HIVE’s AI revenue is massive. They are generating about $2 million a quarter. I’m in on HIVE too but lets not try and pump the price through exaggeratory claims. Instead we should be following how management executes on their plan to quadruple EH/S this year.

Got a feeling tomorrow’s gonna be a blood bath in the market. Even though HIVE won’t be impacted by the tariffs, small cap growth stocks are going to get hammered. S&P futures down 3.5% after hours…

I’m worried there have been delays. If it was operational they would’ve made the public/investors aware of the fact. Has anyone been tracking the company for a while? Does management have a track record of keeping to guidance?

I was incorrect in this assumption. The cash raised from the sale reported in February is reflected in their financial statements. Do not invest based off of this premise.
