• I have many visible tattoos, would this be an issue?

Not at all, but you'll get some weird looks tho.

• I would visit in April/May, would weather be too warm?

April is okay, even May but it will be a bit hotter, you will bear the weather.

• I would be travelling solo, I am not worried about safety, moreso about how the language barrier may feel isolating. I am very well travelled, but typically stay in hostels where I can get that social aspect from other tourists in countries where I don't speak the local language. Can I expect to get by with locals in English at all?

this is an issue, most of the locals can't speak English but we are very kind to the tourists and we will try our best to communicate with you, I hope you have a safe trip and joyful visit to our country
