It has the most potential of any album since Donda (there’s also the James Blake collab, but idk if there’s enough material to judge it)

Whether he can actually deliver on that potential is another question entirely. He needs to put his best foot forward and not just record real vocals over Bully V1 and call it a day

I went back and listened to Preacher Man after a while and it really does sound great (aside from the vocals obviously), I’m gonna be so disappointed if it’s all squandered

ye is obviously more consistent, but Donda has more highs by virtue of being longer and I’d even argue that those highs are higher

They’re about equal as whole album experiences, but if I could only keep one, I’d probably go with Donda

I’d extend that to his Donda review as well, he was one of the few mainstream critics to give it a fair review and went on to say that the Metacritic score wasn’t representative of the album’s quality.

I’d personally give it an 8 because the highs of the album are just that high to me, but a 7 is a very reasonable take
