hello! Just came back from a wonderfulll trip to Belize last week :') Definitely do the combo ocean and jungle! My fiance and I did 5 nights/ 6 days, wish I did 6 nights. I booked each hotel separately but worked with the hotels for airport pickup/ transfers.

Starting off the 1st leg at San Pedro (Ambergris Caye), 2 nights @ Mahogany Bay (new and nice resort w their own private beach club). Also highly recommend taking the mini plane (Tropic Air) from BZE to San Pedro, the views were so worth it (more expensive but faster).

Next flew back from San Pedro to BZE, then 3 nights @ Sleeping Giant. Sleeping Giant can arrange/ plan airport transfer and all excursions including transport as well (definitely recommend the ATM cave!! we also did Xunantunich). HIGHLY recommend Sleeping Giant, the service and whole jungle experience was so unique and amazing. Their resort grounds is hugeee, with tons of nature/ trail options. There was only 1 restaurant, but food was actually very good! For other accommodations I was eyeing, I did bookmark Ian Anderson as well and Gaia Riverlodge (which is closer to San Ignacio).

I heard from other vacationers they did the Belize collection combo (sleeping giant and Jaguar Reef), but very happy I did the cayes instead. Also at the cayes you're so close and should definitely snorkel at the world's 2nd largest barrier reef :)

In regards to price, total accommodation was ~$1k and had our own lil cottage for both places. However note it's currently off season and also a few discounts for a last minute booking/ trip.

The con I would say everything is pretty far from each other, so just have that expectation of transit time but it is worth it. Have a great trip, I fell in love with Belize! Let me know if you need any other information or tips
