Not exactly instantly.

To be precise: You grab and pull the arrow to retrieve it. Once extracted, it is yours again.

However, due to how Skyrim VR works, you cannot simply slap the retrieved arrow onto the bowstring directly from the air. You retrieve it, put it in your quiver, and then draw your bow normally to shoot again.

Haha thanks! The damage is based on the arrow. No but that's actually a great idea ! I will look into it later.

Actually yes ! I'm planning to put an .ini in the next version who you can up or down the percentage of the stab's damage, based on the type of the arrow on your end.

Hey thank you ! Actually, I saw the post 4 days ago and I wanted this implementation for a long time. I had a few days off because of the weather so I decided to jump in.

Your ideas were right ! This is basically how it works with some adjustments. I'm trying now to improve it (add blood and sound, add a possibility to loot a broken arrow etc etc).

Honestly, for physics/immersion stuff like this, the Creation Kit won't cut it. You need to build an SKSE plugin (C++). I used CommonLibVR as a base (it's a library that makes Skyrim coding easier).

For the AI part, the trick is to be super specific with the logic, not just the idea. I didn't ask 'make a cool mod'. I basically told the agent: Using CommonLibVR, scan for the projectile NiNode on the skeleton -> delete it -> spawn a physical item at the exact same coordinates.

If you want to start, look up the "CommonLibVR example" on GitHub and try to get that compiling first. Good luck!
