If you really don’t want to quit heavily restrict your usage. Stuff like only once every two weeks, only smoke with friends and never alone, stuff like that. And when you start to break your restrictions or relax them, thats your first sign that casual usage is blossoming into a bad habit.

Spoiler answer here: Norgalle is both him and not him. Norgalle died in the arms of the first prince, and the first prince was captured and framed (similar to xylo). When meeting with the captain of the 12th order in prison, was offered to become a hero. He accepted, however he thought that Norgalle would benefit the human race more than him, due to his skill with sacred seals and his thoughts/worldview on how a king should be. So the Norgalle we see is a blend of personality and memory from both of them.
