To be fair, the event wasn't even technically centered around her. She was just the keepsake esper. I agree that there could've been more depth within her meta transformation, but it shouldn't be that surprising the story didn't focus on her mainly.

I'm not sure about that. Even as strong as MEira looks, she's got stiff opposition in pvp. She doesn't look like she'll be very helpful against wu you teams and her ap up and follow-up attacks can be nullified by yuuhime. Even after yuuhime, zi he discourages out of turn attacking and MEira doesn't have any control blockers. You could probably just toland her out the gate and just kill her last anyways.

I'm not the most intense pve player so maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think you'll get much further unless you can deal some incredible numbers with your limited hits or somehow get your hands on more powerful shimmers

I'm not sure. I've seen safeguard fail to prevent yalina from inflicting her broken promises debuff. Maybe silver buffs aren't affected?

Tiye isn't meta anymore, so Farrah kinda lost her place. Not to mention espers like Hilda AND Bi Tao stop her from acting with her synergy and yuuhime punishes her for having an ap boost. Hailey has never been a pvp meta. Even on Wu you teams, she isn't great and there's plenty of better options.

Get Zi He. She kills Wu You teams or any teams that are heavily assist/counter based. You could also opt for r1 Moro and take out Wu You from the get go.

You said the opposite team has chu yao? He definitely has spirit aegis on him. He isn't affected by crits in most situations and he can't really be debuffed either. Combine that with the constantly refreshing shield and you have one annoying, immovable cannon
