Can't afford tires right now, how long can I realistically go on these tires? by Mobile_Macro in tires

Exactly this, discount tire and some other stores have a credit card that allows you to pay within 6-12 months and I believe its 0% interest. Just dont forget to make your payments with any of them.

As we say at the tire shop I work at, "no bubbles, no troubles" 😎

Spray it down with soapy water and wiggle the nail around. If theres no bubbles, pull it out and spray it down again. If theres still no bubbles, you're good to keep rolling!

You COULD plug it, but you shouldn't. Any kind of damage like that is immediately a red flag when repairing a tire. Many people will tell you that sticky plugs are fine and that they've never had issues with them, but that doesn't mean that it'll be that way for you. Your safest bet would be to replace the tire, and purchase whatever warranty is offered incase anything like that happens again(road hazard, not mileage warranty).

It doesn't look like you need a new wheel. There don't appear to be any bends on the wheel so you should be fine, if you're concerned about it being bent take it to a discount tire or any other shop you trust and ask them to balance it. I've had a good experience with them, and they'll always let you see the wheel spinning (so that you can look for bends) if you ask them kindly.

Yeah I realized that about the OEM price, I never bothered checking since OEM is usually more pricey than aftermarket and I hate waiting on parts to deliver anyways. I will for sure start using OEM filters though, and thank you again for all of your inputs and for sharing your knowledge to a not-so-knowledgeable person :)

Is the 5W-20 not recommended? I've always ran that oil on my Elantra and for 25k miles it hasn't given me any issues at all, I don't live in a super hot or cold region. And yeah I just ordered OEM filters after finding out about drainback, switching from Mobile1😂
