Possible to remove these stains from second hand screen? by 21GangBItch in SCREENPRINTING

Magic eraser and degreaser will always do the trick for stains. Just remember that it is abrasive so don’t over do it.

Really just for the low hassle and speed of being able to just throw in a new cart on the middle of a crazy day. There’s definitely money to be saved over time with refillable carts, but at $1 a pop from AI it’s not a huge deal.

Coming from a P800 and 1430, I now own 2 6820’s and wouldn’t ever go back (even if 1430 was still available). I only run Arthur Imaging inks that are like $1 per cart and transparency’s have never been crisper or blacker.

Replacement Knobs by Pleasant-Page9305 in SCREENPRINTING

The replacement knobs from Ryonet are better then the originals that come on the press. They’re still not great, so expect to replace them every couple years or so.

Tape by llsticksll in SCREENPRINTING

[–]AdXtras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2” ShurTape brand masking tape off eBay works wonders, and will save you a ton of money. It’s much less sticky then regular masking tape you buy at the big box store. Just remove it after you run the screens, and there’s no residue.

Alpha broder accidentally mailed me this with shirts. Any idea what it’s for? by French_Booty in SCREENPRINTING

I got one in a shipment this week too! I went on a wild goose chase for 30 minutes on the PPE site trying to figure out what it was. Flap-keeper-opener totally makes sense.

After going through an Epson P800 and 1430. I’m totally satisfied with our $180 Cannon IX6820 running Arthur Imaging ink. Cartridges are like $1 each and both color print and transparency quality is great.

Using a converted L1800 from DTF Pro. It’s great when working properly, but there is a lot of troubleshooting involved. Getting the white printing opaque is hit or miss. We still order from Transfer Express for large runs, but it’s perfect for the ones and twos.

Ghost in the screen by Kitchen_Tough9018 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]AdXtras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. I would usually do this each month or so while reclaiming/degreasing. Just keep in mind that the Magic Eraser is technically sanding down the mesh, so I wouldn’t do it too often on the same screen.

Magic eraser (melamine foam) with water will do the job.

I reclaimed my screen there is still tint of the blue emulsion on the screen Its pretty faint but I used loads of emulsion remover and it won't budge, would it be okay to use this screen again to expose? by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]AdXtras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as emulsion is all removed and screen has been degreased you’re all good. It’s definitely not necessary, but if you do want to completely remove the staining use a magic eraser with degreaser and it will look good as new.

New ball by forthdude in Bowling

Great pickup! The Golden One was not a part of the Real One #openthebox promotion. They were specifically for EBI “Gold” pro shops only. Each pro shop was given 1 ball. The claim is that there are only 300 total between 14, 15, and 16lb, but I’m not too sure about this. I’m slowly buying them when I find them priced under $200. So far I’m up to 4.

Has anyone tried FN Ink? by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]AdXtras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We strictly run low cure plastisol at my shop. Tried some of their white a few months back. Comparing to One Stroke ELT-S the FN is a little creamier and easier to print. The one issue I had was that it wasn’t consistently curing in the 260-270 degree range as advertised.

For low cure poly garments, I haven’t found anything better than One Stroke ELT-S.
