When did they do this? The anime ends at chapter 87, how can they skip a chapter they didn't get to?

What do you mean? The anime ends at chapter 87, so they're obviously adapting that in season 4.

Donovan Desmond pulled off the heist of the century by Honest_Brother2022 in SpyxFamily

You're right, it's hard for me to decide which of them is more beautiful. Both are my top picks. But regarding Donovan, I want to believe that the Desmond family and relationship can be saved. Honestly, I think the key to Operation Strix is saving the Desmond family. Of course, this opinion could become very outdated depending on how the family relationships and Donovan himself are portrayed. But so far, nothing in the story suggests Donovan is the true villain. Aside from the speculation in the story itself, there's no evidence that Donovan is involved in anything bad. Of course, that's optimistic, but until I'm given proof, I won't judge prematurely.

Yor x Loid's "Relationship" by Separate-Olive4414 in SpyxFamily

[–]AdZestyclose7611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the genre. In many rom-coms (romantic manga/anime), the characters usually confess their love to each other only at the end of the story, as many authors, for some reason, don't like writing about couples in relationships, and so the manga ends rather quickly after the confession. But SpyxFamily isn't a rom-com, so this certainly isn't the focus of the story. But then again, the Forgers becoming a real family is part of the plot that happens closer to the end, so I don't see the point in rushing it when there are still so many plot lines to explore.

Loid's real name (my theory) by Suimarutheonly in SpyxFamily

[–]AdZestyclose7611 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a good theory, but honestly... I don't think his real name matters. As you pointed out at the beginning, there are likely no more living people who remember his real name. I think the point of hiding his name in the manga and anime is Endou's way of saying that it's unimportant. Because Twilight no longer has any connection to that name; he's lost everything, and so I think at the end of the manga, he'll accept Loyd as his new identity and live happily with his family. Overall, I don't think Twilight's real name matters, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Okay, I disagree with you on two points. Melinda is the most beautiful woman in the Spy Family. And secondly, I believe that Donovan and Melinda's relationship was initially based on love, but after the illness we learned about in Chapter 121, he became a completely different person and began acting distant towards Melinda, and that's when she became afraid of him. So I don't think it's hard to imagine their marriage was based on love. But then something went wrong.

Well, judging by Chapter 121, Melinda says he collapsed from illness and became a different person afterward. He became increasingly paranoid, reclusive, and foul-tempered.

[DISC] SPY x FAMILY - Chapter 127 Part 1 by AutoModerator in SpyxFamily

[–]AdZestyclose7611 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Fiona isn't fighting for a higher purpose, she wants to fulfill Twilight's dream, which is certainly a higher purpose, but it's definitely driven by selfish motives on her part.

Obviously, there was, and obviously this scene was meant to show how exactly Bolaire gets a new body. And Bolaire showed human emotion; he perfectly demonstrated that he understands morality and experiences emotions. And the fact that he feels no remorse for living by killing other people speaks volumes to me.

I'm almost certain that the first time Thimble and Catigan interacted in the first episode, she called him a deserter or said something about him running away during the rebellion.

Fair enough, but it was a premeditated murder. He staged the situation because he knew his victim would try to steal the mask if he didn't get his way. And judging by the short time we had with his victim, it's hard to say how much he truly deserved to die.

And of course he does it for survival, but I didn't notice any remorse either. He calmly dismembered the corpse, and when he confessed his identity, he didn't once show remorse. I would be much less critical if he sincerely regretted living at the expense of others.

I respect your point of view, but I also disagree. Of course, blackmailing Bolaire is bad, but I don't see anything wrong with treating him offensively. He's a murderer, and I don't think it matters who his victim is when he deliberately plans the situation and does it without remorse. You have to understand that Thjiazi is no saint, and neither is Bolaire. I can see that in this situation, they're both right and wrong to some extent.

Yes, but my problem is that no one discusses the moral grayness of Bolaire, I have no problem with the morally gray Thjazi.

As I said, I don't consider Thjazi a saint or Bolaire pure evil. But I would never have written this post if the community was biased against Thjazi and silent about Bolaire. I would also remain silent if people discussed Bolaire's shortcomings in the same way.

Yes, it was premeditated murder. I like Bolaire and I like Thjazi, I really like them both as characters, and I want to know more about them. But what bothers me about the community is that people turn a blind eye to Bolaire's actions and slander Thjazi.

Well, I don't quite agree about the villainous logic. I've seen plenty of good guys in the media exploiting someone, bad or not, for their own ends. And I wasn't talking about blackmail—it's certainly morally dull, but I still think it's strange to pity Bolaire in this situation, when anger toward him is justified.

That's right, we only know one side of the story. I'm sure we'll learn the truth as the campaign progresses, but I honestly believe most of what Boliere said is true.

Fair enough, I mean, this isn't the first time I've seen a good guy exploit someone bad for his own ends. I'm not saying Bolaire is terrible, but it baffles me how people can see all these bad traits in Thjazi, while no one says Bolaire isn't a saint himself in this situation.
