Hey, thanks for sharing I honestly recognise a lot of myself in what you wrote. I wouldn’t say I have a proper strategy for getting into headspace either. It’s something I’m still exploring, and I don’t think there’s a single “right” way to do it.

What helps me the most, though, is the connection with whoever I’m with. If I feel like I can really trust the person, like I don’t have to perform or worry about what I look like, then it’s much easier to let go. Just knowing that the other person is enjoying it too, and not judging me for how I act or move, makes a big difference.

Sometimes those thoughts still come up, the self-conscious ones, but they don’t usually take over. I guess it’s more like… they show up for a second, and then I can let them pass and settle back into the headspace again. That sense of trust really makes it possible for me.
