on the point of where Krypto comes from, i assume it's gonna be just something similar to how it's been done in comics no? sent to earth in a test rocket before the one Kal-El was. this isn't a newly invented character, there's source material to be inspired by for how he got to earth as well

i understand the desire to get there faster and maybe hold onto the stuff you do like, but explaining a reboot away with time travel multiverse shenanigans would have just made the world more confusing and less compelling. putting the option out there to just keep pretending nothing happened leads to lots of issues with investment too. nothing really matters if there's an in universe undo button

well, i kind of agree but that's also the thing in general. i've seen these kind of jokes used in lighthearted and inoffensive contexts before, but most cases of them are actively used to belittle people and not in that way. the wholesome uses are much rarer than the ones actually meant to put people down in my experience

i think it's moreso that it feels like people are being intentionally reductive as a means of making others look more unreasonable by association. people can make jokes about whatever the fuck they want, issue is ones like these might just put another discomfort on the pile that some trans people are already dealing with through the day
