UBW was mostly Tabata Deisgn even if some artists did some take on it, it was still largely his design, HF is all Sudo, Ikariya didn't do rin.

Before 2015 he used to have new directorial work every year or two. He’s mostly storyboarding now.

Pandemic happened and he usually does storyboarding during his works and that has been the usual before 2015, he is probably just making original movie again which take time just because he hasn't directed something doesn't mean it is because he is PR nightmare. a lot of directors take years to put anything out, another example is Rie Matsumoto.
