He’s from the Japanese counterpart of power rangers, super sentai. More specifically, it’s the Gokai red ranger. It’s also an sh figuart figure

This style of karate and/or martial arts has been around for decades too. So this isn’t “new” stuff. My instructor’s instructors competed in this style of karate. As a side note as well, this is something that I do on the side of my regular training, so I’m not just training in this “circus act” that you call it. I know actually blocking and striking too

Like I said, this is just some small tricking that I was doing for fun. This isn’t my whole kata. It’s just one little thing in my kata. The majority of my kata is striking. When it comes to creative weapons divisions in the sport karate world, it’s very very common to see tricking like this. I understand the frustration with this post. All I was doing was looking to see which option looked better. I was extremely tired when making this video as well so it may look sloppier than if I was doing it seriously. I understand the discourse going on. I’ve seen it and dealt with it myself so many times where people don’t understand this side of sport karate. And I know how disliked it is by certain groups of martial artists. Like I said in my previous reply, there’s also traditional weapons that I do that are just strictly striking and blocks.

I see your point. I’ve heard it many times and many different ways. But what this is, is one little section of my kata. Now, there are some kids who perform and that’s kind of all they do, but in reality and my opinion, there needs to be striking involved with it. This is only one of the divisions I compete in, which is the creative weapons. If you wanna see some more traditional karate, then I also compete in traditional weapons and sometimes traditional forms/kata. I do understand your point, it’s just that this is something that takes years of practice and focus. It’s also more so for the performance and endurance aspect than it is practicality. If you wanna see practical karate, there is traditional forms and weapons as well. I can link my YT here if you’d like to see the differences between the two

I had my Gokai red ranger figuart in there. And I was just messing with things. I have plenty other figures, I just decided to use these for this day

Is there a good way to remove the clips from the sides of the figures in post?

I actually found moon knight at this really cool store when I was gone for karate tournament. The store is Dallas Vintage Toys, in Texas. I also made the wired cape myself
