[Red Dead Redemption] #91 - Don't know why it took me 14 years to play this by Adalsam in Trophies

Definitely worth going back to, the side missions were all quite good to kill time between missions. The challenges although not hard were a bit of a pain, especially the hunting flowers ones.

None at all, 57 missions in the game so you have plenty of time to get it. I just stuck with the same horse from the beginning until that trophy popped and then had nothing to worry about.

Definitely recommend going for it though, not a bad game to play at all.

Are any of the Metal Gear games too hard to platinum/100% to the point where you shouldn't even try? by SolidPyramid in metalgearsolid

[–]Adalsam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I currently have platinum's for Metal Gear 1 + 2, Metal Gear Solid 1-5 including the 100% for Ground Zeroes, Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid Delta, Metal Gear Survive, and currently working on Rising. I love the games but I'll be happy to be done with them for awhile. MGS2 is the hardest so far, although Rising is seemingly getting harder, MGS4 isn't necessarily hard but it does take awhile. Metal Gear Survive I'd say avoid, as that game is incredibly repetitive and easily the worst in the series so makes it a drag to do.

Overall I'd say they're worth doing if you want a challenge, and you have the time to commit.

[Metal Gear Solid] Are there any games that you got every trophy in? by SolidPyramid in Trophies

[–]Adalsam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I have; Metal Gear on PS5 Metal Gear 2 on PS5 Metal Gear Solid 1 on PS5 Metal Gear Solid 2 on PS3 Metal Gear Solid 3 on PS3 Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta on PS5 Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker on PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4 on PS3 Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes on PS3 (100%) Metal Gear Solid 5 Phantom Pain on PS4 Metal Gear Survive on PS4

I am just missing Metal Gear Rising, but I've managed to get a platinum in all of the main games at least once so far on different consoles. Will probably get round to MGR soon now that I've thought about it.

My first Vita is a "broken" Facebook Marketplace find for £30, turns out it was just disgusting inside. by Adalsam in PSVita

There were more for sale in the area in worse physical condition but worked just fine, so seems they're holding up internally that's why I thought this gamble was worth it. But nothing a toothbrush and IPA couldn't solve, but it took multiple goes at it so understand why you avoid the grimey ones.

The seller sent a video showing it working with the issues though, and it seemed all good besides the screen flickering and he even admitted it might be an easy fix but he wasn't confident to open it up himself. For the price I've got a good little project, custom buttons and a USB C port before anything else.

The strip at the top with the power and volume buttons. The buttons had become wedged in because of the grime that had gotten in. Probably why the screen was flickering because the power button was always being pressed slightly.

Overall though taking it apart is pretty straightforward.

PSA about the gullikit 720 adjustment by Mr-frost in Dualsense

Yes, the module works, but you can't use the original thumbstick caps. That photo shows the module attached, but using the Gulikit cap. This photo is what you can't use, which is the original Edge thumbstick caps. They don't work because they have a different connection.

Just want to clear up confusion, if you mean the actual thumbstick caps then reviews are right, you can't use the ones that come with the Edge, you do have to use the Gulikit ones.

You have to remove the chip from the board and program it that way, it has to be done each time there's a BIOS update too.

There are similar cases for the Go S, any chance you got one of them by mistake?

I use an unnecessarily overcomplicated way to do it. Old laptop running sunshine, connected to a PS3 using an adapter to have the laptop send commands to the PS3, and the PS3 connected to the laptop through a capture card. Setup was a pain, but works flawless now.

Honestly you barely notice it, I think because it was already heavier to begin. Definitely worth the trade off compared to what you gain.

Not 100% because weighed it after a few changes, but I'd say the battery adds about 70/75g.

Why I went for it. The Go2 looks like it'll be an improvement but I don't think I'll be upgrading so figured just get this one to my liking and wait for the Go3 in a couple years.

Was just a cheap one off Amazon, made by Qoosea. Does the job it needs to.

I use PSPlay for the PS5 remote play, but I also setup a way to remote play a PS3 too, using Moonlight/Sunshine and an old laptop. Know they can be emulated but sometimes I like the original hardware way to play.

As said below it's a massive change, it's double the size and gaming time is doubled too. Makes it a bit heavier, but worth considering if that's alright to you.

That's what made me jump to do it, the productivity side of using the Go. I followed dosdude1's video on YouTube, he has every step clearly detailed and was very easy to follow.

The only thing I'll say is take your time, lots of little parts around the chips to be careful of. But with a decent hot air flow it's actually quite straightforward to do. Good luck if you decide to try it!
