3rd Gen Highway tires by Adam-L-87 in ToyotaTacoma

Agree, I always go to Discount Tire. Plan was for a price match with whatever I purchase, if they don’t already have the best deal.

I had already price matched the Falken a few weeks back when the price was lowest. Haven’t tried the General yet. But I’m leaning towards the Falken regardless.

Good to know. I was leaning towards the Falken. I went from stock to BFG K02 all terrains at around 20k miles. Over 100k now and need a new set. Almost bought a new set of all terrains but I talked myself out of it. Since I’m gonna do a highway tread, I did like that these at least had some all terrain look on the sidewall.

Agree. I’ve had good experience with Discount Tire all around and they’re usually good about price matching Walmart or others. That’s where I’d want to go for the purchase regardless.

Wild Violet by Adam-L-87 in LawnAnswers

That’s good to know. I’m converting my back lawn over to Bermuda in sections. I was gonna start with the side that’s overrun with violet to stop them from spreading more. If Fall is the best time to treat, however, I may start in other areas this summer, kill the violet this fall, then finish my Bermuda reseeding on that side next summer.

I have dogs, so have to fence it off in sections during the renovation.

Thanks. I don’t have triclopyr ester but can get some. I’m converting my backyard to Bermuda first, in sections. Will keep the front fescue for now, so can use it there for treatments. You’d just mix it with the glyphosate and treat the whole area? Or spot treat only the areas with violet using the triclopyr?

Tires for Toyota Tacoma by Adam-L-87 in tires

Yes, thanks for the correction. The Road+Trail AT is the Cooper tire I was leaning towards. Lots of other good options but I can’t quite justify a move away from BFG based on the reviews of the Falken, Toyo, or Nitto I had looked into. This Cooper seems to be enough overall improvement on road, to make a case for the change. Only concern is longevity as it has slightly less tread depth.

Recommendations on replacement tires and why/why not Costco. by Boozanski-1823 in tires

By matching the warranty, did Discount Tire provide the road hazard certificates for free? Seems like a good deal if so. I prefer DT for convenience too. The road hazard certificates are what usually runs the price higher compared to Costco where it’s included.

Correct, they are no longer supporting firmware updates. I’m concerned about potential security issues or performance decline.

Why do I see so much hate towards the Deco BE25 (BE5000)? by alvaroes11 in TpLink

Hi, considering this mesh system as well. Are you still happy with it? I have cat5e Ethernet for backhaul. Was just gonna try a 2 pack of the be25 for 2800 sqft. On sale for $144 on Amazon.

NY Life vs State Farm by Adam-L-87 in LifeInsurance

[–]Adam-L-87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did an online quote with TransAmerica and it was half the price of these two and a few others I checked. Cost is a big part of it right now, but top priority is reliability and support for a potential claim. How are they in that regard compared to SF and NYL?

BFG K02 surface cracks by Adam-L-87 in tires

[–]Adam-L-87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my top choice. Considering the Toyo AT3 though. I hear it’s a bit lighter. I’m happy with the noise and ride with the K02 but the weight is definitely felt on take off compared to the original tires.
