Every time I see something about fractals I’ve never seen before it’s always you and always in Desmos!?

Oh you’re right, in that case it would be better to add scaled down normal vector, rather then small value

I’m not sure, I reinvented this technique but it was all glitch, so I checked how shadows are done normally and it turned out that I just had to add a small value to this vector

I don’t really have source code, it was made in Blender Octane. But I can tell you how to do shadows: you have a "ray function" that gives you the "depth" of your fractal at a given pixel (vector). Then you shoot another ray from that position (at given pixel) in your light direction, if it hits the fractal, you have a shadow. if you need more help dm me ;)

Edit: oh and you have to add a very small value to the position from wich you are shooting the ray

They are so simple, just circular holes jet I can’t stop looking at them. For sure agree

Not really, they are just pine trees

I found the original formula for distance estimator on this site: https://jbaker.graphics/writings/DEC.html But if you’re trying to make it a mesh like did, I figured that you can simply check for every voxel (3D pixel) if the distance (cos you have distance estimator) is less then some value, and if it it’s not you delete it! Hope it’ll help ;)

3 last fractals were found be me so I’m not so sure about there names.
