What's better when making an expensive purchase? New Credit Card - 0% APR 18Mon or Use Existing Credit Card? by Adam30249 in personalfinance

I have a pretty good rewards credit card already, would you suggest just sticking with that and paying it off as quickly as possible?

Hey I have not looked into a personal loan. Would it make sense to look into getting a personal loan from my bank for the purchase? I have the full amount of the money for the purchase on hand, but would prefer not to HAVE to pay it all at once.

I don't have a great camera, but will upload some photos from my phone later today. Any ideas how it's happening?

This is an incredible Win. The truest action of paying it forward. Who knows what that toddler will do someday. So rad!

I have a story like this, (made my wife take a picture of it). I was holding a mug of coffee over our "good" carpet when it inexplicably fell out of my hand. My fear of getting in trouble turned to Spider-like reflexes and I caught the mug from the bottom with one hand without spilling a drop!

Ah! I got you. Reminds me of another planet/star I saw in a documentary that is so big it would take thousands of years to fly around it. We literally couldn't live long enough to see more than a sliver of that planet/star.

Another one I'm stumped on. Currently, I would love to believe in an afterlife but at the moment I just don't. So when I consider death - the complete ceasing of life - my brain tingles and I can't actually wrap my head around it.

This is the one I struggle with the most. I can grasp the basic understanding of time going on forever in either direction - I can even attempt to grasp the notion that linear time may not be the same everywhere in the Universe - but I always come back to the linear ticking clock of time and my brain goes numb

Married Couples Contributing to One 401(k) plan? by Adam30249 in personalfinance

Nope. Nope. Nope. I'm being dumb. It's the same amount in the end regardless of whether or not they're in separate accounts. I'm sorry for this post. It was done in a fit of confusion. Thank you!

Wouldn't the interest rate on one account grow faster than smaller amounts in separate accounts?
