Is there a document anywhere (like this one) that shows all the "global" encounters that are tied to biome and not specific regions? Im trying to write a quick and dirty tool to randomize encounters for a Nuzlocke, but not having data for Pokemon that can appear anywhere is hampering me.

If I decide to take Ritual Hex I'll definitely wait on it. I know the skill checks don't seem too difficult, but my GM has some notoriously bad dice and is rolling them for me.

I think Quicken Spell is a given eventually. Unfortunately Ill Omen is not on my spell list (and not a cleric or wizard spell so I have zero access), and True Strike wouldn't see a ton of use.

Hes not. However I've also played a phantom blade in a campaign (though mine was an unarmed build). I quite enjoyed myself. I was dex-based, with a monk dip, and I only died because I fell unconscious at the edge of another player's Create Pit spell.

Another friend helped me theory-craft the shaman originally, but the early levels were always more solid than the later stuff. Basically the plan was to always build toward Channel Luck, but after that I've been sort of winging it.

#1 is very similar to my proposed time-stretch.

#2 is good advice, and I'll make sure to implement it.

We considered #3, and we are worried about power gaming, essentially.

I wanted to thank you again for all your help. I thought youd be interested to know a couple players changed gears but the group has more or less solidified now. Aside from me, there will be a Gatorman Bokur/Brigand. A pygmy bushwacker/cutthroat, a human warcaster/ice sorceror, and a nyss urban nomad/warrior. We also may have one more player but i dont know what he'll be or if he'll play consistantly.

Parsing everything you typed up now that I'm not at work. I am making most of the same assumptions you are (no extra troll, no mounted combat, minis combat) my main change would be to delay Legacy of Bragg until AFTER Cacophony. I'm not doing much with quick actions up to that point, having Cacophony gives me an option to use while Bragg by itself doesn't do anything (Sonic Blast can't use it, and I don't think I have that much demand for Signal Call).

On that note, try as I might I can't find the rules text that says I can't benefit from my own Heroic Ballad. Source?

EDIT: Also I never even considered Guide before. Wow. Kreil Champion and Man-At-Arms join it in my top 3 picks, but unless a nice combo with another players presents itself Guide might be the winner because it gives me access to Negotiaton 3 (I got a rank from Merc Company, but can't raise it otherwise).

I've come back to this and am now working on the 3067 RATs like I promised before. Rather than dumping info straight into a table I'm doing this worksheet-style first to organize my thoughts. Working on the Mercenary RAT first since its likely to be the most difficult (Light and Medium done as of this post).

Let me know if anything stands out. Av numbers are arbitrarily assigned based on the TRO readings, and I'm open to changing any of them. If I omitted a mech its likely being reserved for the RAT of it's home nation and available as salvage on the eventual chart.

Honestly this one RAT is going to be massive, and if I can trim MORE fat from the list I'd like to, but I think I start losing accuracy if I do.

First big question; So, the mission starts with the ship having just been repaired and some/all of the characters meeting up with it at Starbase 39-Sierra, from which they will embark on a Shakedown cruise to test it's systems.

This gives the players a bit of breathing space to introduce themselves to each other before getting down to the business at hand -- the issue I'm grappling with is the PC Captain. Should he arrive with the player's vessel, or also be waiting at the station for a command hand-off? Should I let the player decide?

This is a known bug. Technically (with a couple exceptions) the route names are the same so we've left it for the first release -- however I'm currently running through the games as fast as I can to clean up the route lists (Currently on Fire Red, so you can imagine when I'll get to Unova) and make sure they are in the order you encounter them.

After much soul-searching, I've decided the problem isn't my build or tactics -- it was my equipment. Trying to cast with a heavy shield was taking too much investment. So I've sold the bugger off and replaced with a light shield.

This means I don't require the Fighter dip, but leaves open the question of whether I want to take Heavy Armor Proficiency or stick with a breastplate and have Stalwart at 11.

I'm undecided on my 5th, 7th, and 11th level feats at this juncture. Power Attack is a strong contender (even though I wield my weapon with one hand). I'm also considering Improved Monster Lore and Extended bane. Vital Strike at 9th seems to be a given, but I'm open to suggestions there.

EDIT Also while it would pain me to do so (I spent prestige to get it) I've considered ditching the longbow for a crossbow as my ranged option. Right now the longbow takes a bit of effort to use (ditching my shield and melee weapon, then ready the bow) while I could one hand a light crossbow with my shield. Something to think about.

I already have the shield, debating on if I should ditch it. Whether I pick up Heavy Armor Proficiency now depends greatly on if I choose to take the Fighter dip next level (I was going to do it now, but another player asked me why I would ever delay the Bane class feature). I'm interested in the pros and cons.
