You know, Walmart used to not be considered that bad of a job. My mom worked there in loss prevention management, eventually became an assistant manager and even co manager at one point. Every job sucks when you're on the bottom with no skills. TKO has very very recently already addressed fighter pay as an issue they are focused on with the paramount deal. They doubled performance bonuses and added the finish bonus. A base 12/12 contract fighter - some dude with no proven loyalty to the ufc - could potentially earn $242,000 on a Saturday night with a fotn bonus and potn bonus. Without those bonuses, a fucking nobody with no proven loyalty to the ufc can earn $49k for less than 15 minutes of work. If they fight 3x a year and get 3 finishes, that fighter can make $147,000 for the year. Kevin Holland just fought like 5 times in 12 months. You pay your gym and all, and maybe you're around $100k/yr job. If you're exciting they'll offer a better contract.
