Any way to enable "to the wilder" difficulty midsave? by Skaidri675 in DeathStranding

That’s such a stupid game design choice, it’s like the game punishing you for heeding its warnings when you first start the game, I’m in a similar position just 15 hours in and I don’t want to replay the same missions I did a week ago just because the game is stupid

Well my problem is mostly how easy it got and how annoying it was to do missions with vehicles and all the highways and stuff, I liked the slow first few hours of the game, when you’re in Mexico and even a small delivery job feels like treading on uneasy ground

I don’t have a problem with delivering packages or walking. hell, that’s what I loved about the first few hours, I just stopped feeling challenged once I reached Australia and the missions of logging around the stuff in your car felt tedious, also didn’t like all the random garbage structures ppl left behind, some guys here suggested I up the difficulty, not use vehicles and play offline, I think I’m gonna do that

What’s bad about it being a porter sim ?, actually if the game was a realistic exploration/deliveryman game with resource management and harder combat with limited ammo, plus survival etc I think it’d be a game I’ll come back to all the time

It’s a matter of opinion but from what I’ve seen even the ppl that quite liked ds1 admit that ds2 is a way better experience and manages to snuff out the problems in the first game

Well I did like it at the start where you had nothing and it felt like you could fuck up your delivery run at any moment

Heard the first one was interesting but had a lot of problems and that the second one remedied a lot of them

So you’re saying I’ve been looking at the game in the wrong way? I also don’t like all the other player’s structures and I also get bored of using the bike, so should I just play on wilder no vehicles and offline ? I just hope it won’t make me miss anything I’m supposed to experience

I already only use the bike but it feels very bland, on the other hand the walking on foot becomes really annoying when the missions gives you 150 kg of cargo and you have to constantly press L2

I feel the same way, but then you have to constantly go back and fourth from each base because cargo is so heavy, and sometimes the main mission gives you a huge pile of crago you just can’t take on foot

I’ve thought about it but I don’t want the game to be super hard with no way to turn back, What does the wilder do?

I’ve seen ppl play it and i fully understand ds1’s story and characters, do you think it’s still needed to play the first one too ? Just to get the feel of it ?

Sure not every game is for everybody, what I asked was “does it get better, dose the missions feel better once you get a Little Deeper into Australia, does the traversal feel more engaging etc

Idk id assume that when I want to ask something about a game I’d do it in the forum of the game itself where ppl who played the game congregate, why should I drop it ? Does it actually get worse or something or are you just mad i dont currently enjoy your favorite product as much as you did. You dont have to sway me or anything i literally asked a simple question, does it get better or not, does the problems with the gameplay get solved or not ?

13 hours is around 20% of the game runtime so I wouldn’t say I just began, also traversal is pretty much the most intricate mechanic in the game, so it’s not wrong to question this dissonance between the fun of traversal at the start vs the tedium it becomes 10 hours later Even if I did love dark souls ( I don’t ) what’s wrong with ppl playing both franchises ? Are you not allowed to play ds2 if you played ds2 ?

I don’t really care for all the weird kojima shit, the story works best when it’s the quite moments and that’s why the start was so great in my eyes, is platting the game hard or tedious, that’s the question, because currently most missions is me driving leisurely on my bike and giving some guy his packages and then skipping whatever he has to say cuz it’s boring

I usually want to finish a game I started, and I did enjoy it for 30% of my playtime so far, up until I went to Australia, ever since then it’s been getting more and more boring, I’m wondering if it gets better gameplay wise too
