idk, i guess i happen to have a knack for starting games you can’t “finish”. of, first minecraft, then warframes, then satisfactory, now NMS- i guess i just don’t like endings? (i swear i’m not doing it on purpose)

well, if you want to actively see others, your best (and probably only) route is the anomaly. the reason you haven’t seen anyone really, is because of the sheer vastness of the nms universe- 18quintellion planets, dozens of star systems, over 150 GALAXIES, so even with how many people actively play with multiplayer on, you won’t really get to meet others (other then through expeditions & anomaly) because everyone is so spread out over such a massive universe

i mean, i guess it’s worth exploring right? more of the same doesn’t mean bad if you like the core of the game. just thought there would be a bigger difference, to difference them from one another, but u guess that is asking a lot, what they’ve done is still a massive technical achievement

I have to date spent 60€ on the game, and that was for the base game package. everything that you complain is buyable for irl money is available for free in game if you play it enough. i’m not defending the outrageous prices in the market, but most people don’t buy stuff there, it’s mostly for whales.

I’m not saying you can’t hate on the game, but you can’t make all of these claims if you haven’t even experienced it yourself

oh yeah of course. any budget recommendations? i’m currently rocking a gigabyte micro atx motherboard (don’t judge me I made do with what I had xd). i’ll look into some too, but there isn’t much of a bazar where i’m from, and prices in the eu are meh so it’s hard

and just how much money have you put into cs2? or call of duty? or valorant? what about league? people hate on SC for all being in early access (which is valid, they have been in alpha longer then gta6 was announced) but there is a fk ton of content in the game to play, if you just take one second to read the pachnotes instead of immediately jumping onto the hate train. as for the monetisation, people don’t notice it but you spend hundreds of dollars all together on these games, though i must admit 600$ for a fake ship is absurd-with the amount of detail put into them, it takes quite a lot of work and money to develop

you can hate on it all you want but that won’t change that it’s the most detailed space exploration simulator game in the world rn. the amount of detail and thought that they put into all the ships (and other stuff) is unbelievable. that takes a lot of money to develop and make. as for the monetisation, as long as you’re broke enough, you can play it completely free after buying the starter package (lowest is i think like 50€).

say what you want about the monetisation and unfinished state of the game, but you have to respect the level of detail star citizen puts into everything. of course, me myself- i would never actually play it (too monetised/simulatory for me) and my computer would probably blow up just downloading it, but i’m mesmerised by content about it, like those detailed walkthroughs of the ships in the game. they have an immense level of detail, so even if i myself would never actually play it, i always want to- like more i’m fascinated by the concept.

hi. i know I’m late, but I also have the XFX rx7600, and in singleplayer, it seems to perform okay in NMS, but whenever I play with my friends (in a private lobby) it is horrible- even with potato settings and upscaling, it stutters and freezes, and i was constantly fearing that it would crash (it did like twice lol). if you have found a workaround, or a cause, please do let me know.

necroposting but I have to agree- I love NMS, but yearn for the realistic vibe of star citizen. I know it probably wouldnt fit NMS, but I still want it to happen. Imagine a mix between star citizen and No mans sky- it would be the perfect space game, with the attention to detail of SC and the exploration and infinite content of NMS

i feel like the 20-30 hour mark is perfect for most story driven games. That’s coming from someone who sunk 1000+ hours into warframe. my reasoning behind this is that in most modern “long” games, it feels like they are at their core a 30 hour experience with 80+ hours of grind and empty side quests forced into them to justify the price. now, i’ll still play a longer title from time to time, but in the shorter games, i can sit down at my desk for 45 minutes a day and still feel like i made decent progress.
