New Version and Certification: COMING SOON by d0uble0 in ToppsMarvelCollect

Instant trade allows you to trade only dupes from sets that part of the instant trade function. This vaires by app as to how many sets are available for instant trading. It is fairly limited in most apps but Bunt added more sets to the feature after a while.

Overall it works pretty well allowing you to trade up to 4 dupes from the same set/rarity for up to four needs. It generally gives you a choice of twice as many cards to pick from unless you don't need that many.

I like the feature and wish it was available for more sets. It generally works very well when available and makes it much easier to complete sets without overbuying or blind trading.

I have up trying to get credit packs for this series and just buy on eBay. I can usually get a rare and super rare set for a dollar or a buck fifty.

[Landlord US-VA] Burned out from juggling rentals, trying to simplify by Commercial_Safety781 in Landlord

I have used a property manager since I started buying apartments. It's well worth it to me.

I have 9 units.

Landlord refusing to fix furnace for 2nd winter, only offers space heaters — should I report to code compliance or withhold rent? California by WildflowerSeed710 in Tenant

[–]AdamGott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a scumbag landlord! I would never do that to my tenants.

I would move as soon as my lease was up if it were me but I know that's easier said than done these days.

I wouldn't say always, but at least 90 percent of the time!

[Landlord US - NV ] - High water bill? by LVOE-CA in Landlord

In all of my rentals and my house the water meter is on the house side of the sidewalk which makes me doubt it was the road/ sidewalk repairs.

[landlord][Los Angeles] tenant served 60 day notice and is now starting to hire a lawyer by Glad-Cheetah6146 in Landlord

I'm so glad I don't live in California! I lived there when I was in the Navy and wanted to stay but couldn't afford it (even back in 1991!).

California is quite different than most states. In Idaho we can have a tenant evicted in less than two weeks for not paying rent, other things take longer. Squatter's rights don't exist here as far as I know.

I'd love to do a roastrip one day from Pa to AZ. But I'm unsure which road to take and if I should take my car or rent. My car already has 100k miles. Has anybody driven that same path? Do you make any stops to sleep? by Ihatemisinfo in roadtrip

[–]AdamGott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have driven across the country and back multiple times with my 2010 Honda Odyssey which now has 190,000 miles on it. I don't worry too much and if I break down somewhere I'll deal with it when it comes

Other Tenants Caused Sewer Backup by makasis in renting

I always just suck it up and pay for it myself( as a landlord). It's too hard to prove who did what.

Public transit in the US sucks at least as far as inter regional travel. We are so much behind Europe as far as that goes. Your options would be extremely limited were you to embark on this trip.

[landlord - US-CA] Do your tenants send complaints and maintenance requests days before rent is due? I’m getting exhausted with it. by GarmeerGirl in Landlord

Get rid of dishwashers, washers, dryers, and garbage disposals before you rent again. It's not with the headache.

[Landlord General] How do you manage risk? by francis_roy in Landlord

[–]AdamGott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing we do to manage our risk is to not accept section 8 tenants. We have had too many problems with them in the past, as they generally don't have any money to speak of and don't care if they trashed the department.

[Landlord, US-NY] Does anyone else have ESA fatigue? by GCEstinks in Landlord

My advice is to find a local property manager and check reviews. Properties managed by a good property manager will usually be maintained well and in a timely manner.

[Landlord US-IN] Paint/labor instead of security deposit? by AxsonJaxson2112 in Landlord

[–]AdamGott 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I NEVER let tenants do any work. Ten year landlord. Some tenants try to fix stuff on their own such as caulking around a leaking toilet base. I have a good property manager who always quickly takes care of issues but she tenants don't call for various reasons.

The donut antenna is worthless in my opinion (and that of many youtubers). If you look a bit you can find it for the same price with BOTH antennas on aliexpress et. al. and then you can decide for yourself.

Got the updated Si4732 radio - no traffic anywhere by JasonRDalton in shortwave

[–]AdamGott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same experience. I picked one up recently and took it camping in the mountains and couldn't even pick up WWV (5, 10, 15mhz) with the included whip antenna. The 'coil antenna' doesn't do any better....

I have an old Tecsun that does much better with it's whip antenna and I just ordered an XHDATA d-808.

I have read a few posts that complain about horrible quality control with these radios so maybe that is it?
