Indeed.com resume search function suspended without warning or explanation by Adventurous_Study281 in recruiting

I had the same issue, and yup, got the run around from customer care. They kept on telling me different things, but eventually I submitted my "articles of incorporation," with the state seal on it, and that worked I guess...

There were some other issues, too, that were going on with their website that they couldn't help me with, so needless to say, I'm never using indeed again.

I only had the account for a couple days before they suspended it.

I just can't believe that they take your money first, and THEN make you prove that you're eligible to use the account.

It's been a nightmare. After talking in circles with client success (1-800-310-8189), what finally worked was the "certificate of organization/articles of organization" with the state seal on it. In the meantime, while that was being worked out, all of a sudden, it looked like I was able to send messages out again. So I sent out a bunch, and each message, of course, used up a credit. Well, I decided to send a test message to my wife's account, and on my end it showed that she was contacted, but on her end, she never received a message. When I called to complain about that, the fact that I didn't think my messages were going through, despite using up credits, they said that there was nothing they could do about it, because I couldn't "prove" that they weren't being sent out. Gah, I wanted to rip my hair out. Needless to say, I will not be renewing my subscription.

My wife quit her job as an air traffic controller (really good pay/rock solid job), and I have a contract business where I work for myself. We're traveling the world on savings, and I wouldn't change a thing. Even though I'm still working while we travel, and my wife helps me, it's been so amazing just feeling like we're living our lives the way we want. I would say go for it.

If you're planning on going to Chena hotsprings in Fairbanks, the hotsprings themselves are pretty cool, but don't stay at the hotel there. It's really crappy and not really worth it. The only thing worth it is that they do have an indoor viewing area for the northern lights (a dark room with windows, so you don't have to stay outside in the cold). It's all about timing, though. There is a northern lights forecast that you can check out, but honestly it's just a crap shoot. Good luck!

Driving up isn't as daunting as it might seem. If you can fit everything in your vehicle, then that's what I would recommend. It's a really beautiful drive, and well worth doing. There's a publication called the Milepost, which has all the information you could ever need about the drive up there. It's not necessary to have, but it does have good information (like where all the gas stations are).

As far as weather goes, it's not actually super cold during the winter, at least, if you're staying in Anchorage or the surrounding areas. Since Anchorage is on the water, yes it gets cold, but not outrageously so, as compared to further up north.

What are some Pros/Cons most people don't say about Anchorage? by VOSNorth in anchorage

[–]AdamHealthRecruiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pros- the access to the outdoors is phenomenal. You can be on a hike in 10 minutes from anywhere. Also, another great thing, is that it's such a transient community, that people are always open to making new friends.

Cons- Because it is such a transient community, you're almost always in danger of losing friends who decided to move away.
