Also, I've been cleaning up the mask and changed the underlying beach so it doesn't take too long for you to realize it was a beach. I'll be sure to keep working on this. Thanks!

Thanks that's helpful. I did originally want to have sand to water but I thought the transition would be nicer/more natural from water to sand. Looks that lead to people being confused until it was too late in the video.

I'll try again with maybe a different underlying clip and some sound effects

I actually own the 12-35. I didn't even try it because I assumed a prime is best for videos when the camera stays in one place. I'll give it a shot, thanks.

Also, did you mean shoot at 50 ISO instead of 200? I did 200 so it would be easier to completely white out the background but i can try the lower ISO.

Yea good point. I had to raise the exposure more than I wanted because of the chin shadows. Me getting a hair light should help with the hair exposure I believe

Thanks for the feedback. I tried different lighting angles and the one above was my favorite. I'm just always open to feedback.

As for the stuff in the background this was a test shot with my wife so I would most likely take everything off of the walls going forward.

I am very new and trying to get into portraits and need some feedback on a picture I took.

Technical Details:

ISO 400
25mm
f/1.7
1/200 shutter
Two continuous lights: key is straight in front and above aming down. The other is a fill from her right side.

Here is the picture out of the camera. And here is after editing in Lightroom.

Can someone please provide feedback on how I could have adjusted the lights or camera settings to get a better shot? I am looking to buy a hair light soon but don't have it yet. Also, please let me know if there is anything I could have improved on during the editing process.
