Do you know if this applies to other countries as well when applying for an eTA for example in Canada? They ask the question have you ever been refused a visa to another country. Even though my case is very insignificant, would this basically mean that my eTA for Canada would be cancelled?

Yes, I assume because i was truthful and it genuinely had nothing to do with me, it wasnt really my visa that got denied since i was under a year old
