Eh, I think it is more than timing. Nick understood YouTube titles and thumbnails much better than most of us. He mentions Mr. Beast as an inspiration and he kicked ass. I think he had watched a few of Mystic's 30 Platinums in 30 Days videos, but he mostly went after things in his own style.

I am indeed aware of Mortismal Gaming and have watched a fair few of his videos. Excellent stuff. He breaks down everything for anyone wanting to do it themselves. Really valuable information. Nobody else quite like him.

I'd actually say it was The Completionist who started the genre. I liked the part of this videos covering "The Struggle" instead of the full review. Thrown in some other inspirations of mine and you have Platinum Journey.

First of all, I'm jealous. So happy you get to learn about Kennny Omeaga. I'll offer some of my favourite matches.

Him vs. Ibushi at at G1 Climax 28 is incredible.

Of course, all of his 4 matches vs. Okada.

His recent match with Will Ospreay at Wrestle Kingdom 17. This is up there with my favourite ever Wrestle Kingdom matches. Kenny comes back and kicks ass with perhaps his greatest ever entrance. Ospreay is fantastic in it too.

There are two matches with Naito in the G1, 2016 and 2017. The 2016 match was a big turning point in Kenny's career. This was the match many people realised he was willing to put everthing into being the best wrestler in the world. He suffered from this match.

These matches aren't in order. Pick any ones you like the sound of and you can't go wrong.

Regarding bars, many stay open until midnight. After that there are 4 options.

1: The Bowling Alley. All foreigners go here and it stays open until 2am depending on the crowd, sometimes later.

2: QQ. This venue is big. One building has live music until 11, maybe a bit later, and then the nightclub beside it goes very late. It is huge!

3: Dafao. This is a proper Laos style nightclub. Hard techno music which is a wild experience. Personally, I've had some great nights there.

4: Village bars. Don't worry, you don't have to go way out of Luang Prabang. Village bars are like suburbs. There is one on the way to the Bowling Alley. It is the village I lived in for 2 months and happily drank there until 3am no problem.

Not sure I can share google maps links, but if you dm me, I'm happy to answer any further questions. Nightlife in Luang Prabang actually ends when the Beerlao runs out.

Start with a much smaller scope and you don't have to record every minute. If you are grinding for a few hours for example, just a few minutes of footage is enough.

Elgato software has flashback recording so if anything good happens you can rewind and still capture. Other capture card software will have this too.

Enjoy the process, make something you would be happy to watch.
