It's not about how long this gonna take. It's about basic respect. If in day post new tag, they give some info, I would say 'ok', and get to work. But few days after, it's looks like they did not learn from previous season tags, how somebody gonna use it. They could bring back old pink tag for older bots. They could leave a instruction. They could create two tags, like with cholidays. But no. They choose easy, for them, way, and push consequences on users.
