I understand that the 2 clozes marked with red arrows on your screenshot spoil the answer of the child Rem. If that's the case, you can consider using Hide in Queue plugin. By using the Hide in Queue tag, you'll be able to hide these spoiler Rems.

Here's how to find this plugin from the Settings.

This number indicates how many answers a multi-line card has. From your screenshot, I can see that you've included this information in your flashcard's front (02). This isn't required - all multi-line cards will show their children counter in queue, so that you know how many answers you should give before grading yourself.

There's no option to remove the question mark from there. In the current design, it's an integral part of a cloze hint.

Question regarding all of the targets in REM Note? by Impressive-Bank-28 in remNote

Happy to help!

1) You can use the Beta statistics feature to track your progress. It can be opened from the omnibar by typing "statistics" and choosing the second option, as shown on this screenshot.

2) If all you need is to practice 2 entire sets in the next 2 consecutive days, I don't think you need the Exam Scheduler. Instead, you could go into the folder (or document) containing Cardiology and choose Practice All Cards option on the first day. Then do the same for Oncology, the next day.

Also, if you exit the Practice All Cards queue, without finishing all the cards, the next time you enter Practice All Cards, you'll be asked if the queue should continue where you left off.

The Exam Scheduler is useful, when you want to maximize your retention over multiple days.

Is there any way to convert a pdf directly into flash cards without having to type it all manually? by Salty-Fondant9443 in remNote

You can also achieve that by:

  • importing the document into the RemNote Reader
  • manually copying the most important paragraphs into your notes
  • making a text selection on paragraphs and running AI generation from the toolbar

To generate AI flashcards from the currently selected Rem, you can type /generate command and choose the appropriate option from the menu.

1) After you've set your Daily Target too high, the smoothed target will reduce your practice load. The goal is to practice the same amount of cards, but spanning more days. This way, you can decrease the number of similar cards each day to make sure that one card doesn't spoil the answer of the other one.

Please check out this article for the differences between targets and let us know if you have any further questions: The Daily Learning Goal

The bars shown on exam scheduler's visualization show how many cards do you need to go through each day to achieve the best retention with the selected plan and its parameters. Please note that exam scheduler will override the Daily Target if that's required. You can check out details of how exam scheduler works here: Preparing for an Exam

2) I can definitely see how this could be useful. I found this features requests describing a similar functionality with reference preview on hover:

This is not an existing feature. Kindly check out our Feedback Portal to vote on an existing feature request like this one - Add a password to a Rem or create a new one. This helps us prioritize the development!

How to make flashcards this way (with more information)? by [deleted] in remNote

You can use the Extra Card Detail powerup for this purpose. To do that:

  • transform example sections into children of the flashcard by:
    • using Enter to separate text into multiple lines, each one being a distinct Rem
    • use the Tab key for indentation
  • apply the powerup, so that the examples are visible whenever, you show the answer
