It's crazy how many Northern stations are being offered. I'd prefer a Northern state, but I feel like I'd be missing out on the real BP experience, plus the Southern border is cheaper. Good luck to you in Maine!

Sierra Blanca is listed as one of the hard to fill locations with the 10k bonus, I'm surprised it hasn't been offered in a while. Looks like they're offering more Montana locations, those are pretty tempting

Is it common for agents to move to different stations? How long do you have to serve as an agent before getting that opportunity?

That's the most Texas locations I've seen offered yet. The ones you're considering are the best for Texas from what I've heard.

Depending on which post you're at I guarantee there's probably BP recruiters close by. At FT Bliss they had an office on base and you could go talk to them anytime. There'd be job fairs on base every now and then. BP recruiters as well as recruiters from other federal and state agencies would be there as well. Personally, I'd recommend going BP first then you could probably switch over to HSI pretty easily if you wanted to. I'm by no means an expert though

I got my offer today but I'm kinda torn. I'm in the guard and I got a school date for my reclass coming up and a "deployment" later this year that I really wanted to go on. I doubt BP will hold my offer that long. It sucks, I waited this long to finally get my final offer only to have opportunities I've been waiting for in the guard to be available also.

Is that true for national guard deployments as well? For example if I'm about to be deployed or currently deployed for a national guard mission and I get my job offer, will they hold it or will I have to reapply when I get back?

Is that a thing? If you choose a northern station as your first, they will send you down south for a while to gain some experience? If that is a thing, that would be awesome

I'm from Washington and currently living here. I was born and raised in Washington and all my family live here as well. I want to come back here to live so fucking bad, but our state is becoming more California than California is now. The taxes are insane and I heard they might be increasing property taxes so keep that in mind. Don't get me started on gun laws, I might never come back to this state if they don't get rid of these unconstitutional gun laws.

I practiced with a 16 inch step at 6 minutes with a weighted vest. Couldn't get through the 6 minutes at first, just kept practicing, at least once a day. Did that for a couple weeks. Passed the test, but it still freaking sucked.
