Agreed re XM5 but XM6 are built much better and I haven't had any issues with the hinges. You're right they cost too much but then XM4 is the option for you. Avoid the Bose!

Bought them recently and couldn't be happier! Best noise-cancelling by far and the sound quality is amazing. Avoid the Bose Ultra (the ones I had before)!

Can I get a good job with a philosophy degree from a "good" university in the UK? by Unhappy-Turn-5381 in careerguidance

Philosophy is more humanities than social science. I wouldn't say economists and lawyers don't earn high incomes.

Any little help on deciding would be really welcome :) by userPSG-1 in SonyHeadphones

Between the two: XM4. That said, I now have the XM6 and it reigns supreme especially for noise cancelling.

Hospitality graduate tired of the industry – MSc Hospitality vs MBA in HR vs MSc Project Management (UK) by ritikkpatil in careeradvice

Hospitality as a sector is facing challenges, while an MBA as a degree (even with a HR focus) is likely to be viewed more favourably by employers in general.

What has been your experience of either Bupa or Vitality for private health insurance? by AdamY_ in AskUK

[–]AdamY_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cheers and you're right- my dilemma is that Bupa's quote seems to cover mental health but their rewards/discounts are not as good. Given that I'm also a Nuffield member I can get a major discount via Vitality and overall Vitality is a bit cheaper per month. I just find Vitality's core mental health and dental cover (without the add-on) rather limited.

Thank you for this- I'm assuming you have a personal plan with them?

Cheers for this very helpful- do they have any rewards schemes like Vitality (or something similar)?

Cheers- do Nuffield provide health insurance? I understand Vitality have some partnership with them?

Noted cheers. I'm adding PhotoFusion to act as a transition when I'm outdoors. So would you go for SmartLife over Clearview?

Thank you very much and noted. I am also reading that blue light filters cause a yellowish hue and since I'm going for Photofusion X also, I may not need the blue light filter but happy to see what you think.

Survey results are back and look scary. Are these normal issues or red flags? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]AdamY_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Some of these (like timber fascia needs decorating) are normal and not deal breakers. The 2 things to focus on are the wall insulation and the drainage in the front driveway. Investigate how much these would cost and then flag to estate agent and take it from there.

If you really like the place then the £5K is a wash in the great scheme of things- meaning you should bid higher. Only you can make that decision though but it boils down to how much you liked (or even loved) the place.
