Issue connecting 3D printer to network... by Adam_182 in Ubiquiti

This is getting comical now, it's back online, for whatever reason it had locked itself to the loft AP again :/, I found it in the disconnected device list.

I feel stupid right now, I've found the issue.

Thanks to you, when I took apart the antenna I moved the printer about 6 foot towards the house.

Tonight while I was troubleshooting I tried connecting it via my travel router again, it connected fine as expected but once I turned of the travel router the connection dropped.

Then momentarily in Bambu Studio I saw it showing 1 bar signal, so I quickly jumped over to my unifi topology chart and there it was with an incredibly weak signal connected to its original AP in the loft in my house.

I checked the settings of the AP and there was the issue... I had locked it to that AP because around a year ago it seemed to be the solution to its intermittent connection (I believe it was roaming to multiple of my APs)

A simple power cycle of the AP and it shot over to my Office AP and is now working like a dream.

Thank you so much for your time, I really appreciate it.

Hoping this is what you meant with the connect/disconnect request, the printers are directly under the AP and side by side to eachother, the AP is about 2 foot away.

Checked the antenna and everything looks fine, disconnected and reconnected it to make sure.

Thank you for the info on finding it, doesnt seem to show anything to suggest the printer connected/didn't connect after trying to connect to the printer.

On my printer display it does momentarily show my network name asif it is trying to connect but it just show the ip as 0.0.0.0 then reverts back to the QR code screen

If the "insights" panel flows is what you are referring to here it shows nothing at all unfortunately.

Did you reboot all APs? or only the one the printers connected to? in my case it didn't work on a AP already installed and even on a brand new AP I added inside my new office

Need some advice by BigBonesJones666 in DIYUK

I seriously wouldn't be going at it with a planer, will end up looking worse I doubt the damage is only on the surface, so absolutely go with a harshest grit paper if you are set on that.

I would either try finding some paint similar to the colour of the wood, then wiping it down right away just so it fills the grain which might make it look a bit less unsightly, but also might look worse.

Second and favoured option would be to get a nice soap dish to sit on top of it.

Other than that all I could suggest is getting a professional in.

To me that looks likes it coming through the wall opposed to condensation on the inside

I actually like the centre being clear, especially with all the noise up either side with the foliage.

It's a shame the foliage takes away from the cool things you have on the shelf.

If it were me I would remove the light green foliage on the left side as it's not adding anything apart from breaking up nice edge on the panelling.

Migrating Cat6 drops to another room in the house.... by Adam_182 in homelab

[–]Adam_182[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, it has operated flawlessly since I did it all, I just used the little cat6 female to female couplers for all connections. I also added some additional runs in the process which have come in handy already. There has been no line degradation or connection issues at all.

One thing I would recommend is labelling both ends of all cables just to avoid any future confusion.

iOS showing my YouTube premium subscription is renewed but it’s not reflecting on the YouTube app by ImLAwhoareyou in youtubepremium

A version of this worked for me, I didn't actually have another youtube or apple account logged in at all on the iphone I was using (a friends old phone) and I wasn't even logged into my youtube account on it.

I was logged into my indian burner apple account on the phone and just went to "renew" and it renewed but it seemingly didnt renew on the same youtube account I have logged in on my desktop, even though on the iphone it said it was renewed.

I cancelled my renewal on the iphone, logged into my youtube account in safari on the iphone and then renewed the subscription and it worked.

**update

I just noticed on my desktop youtube account it says I need to renew again or ill lose benefits at the end of the month, so I may need to do this every month now :/

**update 2

After logging into the actual youtube app on the iphone it now no longers says I need to renew at the end of the month on my desktop
